I'm not saying you "need to" do anything, my dear Manny. If you want to understand incels rather than remaining in this benighted state of refusing to take my word for what they're like, you might consider going and taking them at their word.
If you don't actually have any interest in learning about incels, then what is the point of posting that you "won't take my word" on what they're like? Is it just virtue-signalling your Adherence To Skeptical Principles or is it some kind of hint that you'd like me to furnish some source of information other than my own experience with incels?
I'm not sure it's completely binary, but it's an ideology today that you have to make the conscious decision to join. It's less a trait and more an adherence to a philosophy of thought. You can fit the demographic of an "Incel" and not be one because you've made the choice to not live the way they choose to (although choice in this matter may often be an irrelevant distinction, as it often doesn't feel that way when you're living it).
Like Owen said, it wasn't like this in the beginning, but that's what it is today. If recent history is any indicator, it's a philosophy that is growing increasingly hostile/radicalized instead of mellowing out. That's problematic since it's a philosophy dependent on stubborn, self-absorbed belief. The target audience is one that would be particularly receptive to the idea of "taking justice into your own hands", wherein justice is violent retribution against those who've doomed you to your self-admitted Incel fate. If your worldview revolves around the idea of women conspiring against you and forcing you to be robbed of what you feel you deserve, you're likely to not be entirely opposed to the idea of evening the score. The demographic that is willing to do that will always be a minority but it's a minority that is gradually gaining control of the philosophy's direction and the way it is perceived by others.
I don't think you can find many people willing to kill, so unless you just mean something like 10 people in a pool of 100.000 or something, then you seem to be off
Fact is that the percentage of people who will go on to kill is tiny. And if the issue isn't those who will actually kill, but more general creepyness... well... there are tons of that outside the inceldom as well.
Radicalisation is a thing, yet another factor is youth; more people will be examining all sorts of strange/wrong ideas then.
Well, it's just a thread, so whatever. ^_^
Besides, you seem to be taking this whole web indentification of groups (in this case 'incel') perhaps more seriously that you should. Imo it isn't essentially a more rigorous categorization than that of the known web-meme categorizations, including emo, hipster, sjw etc. It may seem more set because it is based on a definition, but then again the focus isn't the actual state of being incel, but what it is supposed to connote.
Hah, well, those categorizations may have gotten more attention if they had mass killer manifestos. Emo and scene kids only gave us My Chemical Romance and Brokencyde.

I didn't tell you to take my word for anything. I was merely noting the irony that you mentioned a "kneejerk anti-incel bandwagon" while responding to a post by an incel (sympathizer? unclear) that basically demonstrated that everything posters like @Owen Glyndwr, @Synsensa, myself, etc. had told you about incels was accurate.
