-I-65 lurking in the waters near the entrance of PM's Harbor spots a combined CW and US TF SE of PM. Radioing contact report to Rabual..the First Air Flotilla begins a series of bombing attacks. This results in the sinking of the CV Yorktown, BB Malaya, DD Drayton with the loss of one Betty.

Solomen Islands Area
-I-Boat spots US TF centered around CV Hornet east of Guadalcanal. One US DD sunk.

The summer heat is killing me...the temp rose to 106 degree F yesterday, and to live in that tempt w/ no A/C, it was painful

Java Sea Theater: I-Boat 85 shadowing the CW TF from the Bay of Bengal until south of Java finally radioed the contact report to nearby air and naval units. A TF diverted and attacked the CW TF after Betty and Kate air attacks.
-BB Revenge, DD Encounter and CL Glasgow Sunk
-A IJN Transport was sunk with as it approached an enemy SS. The SS in turn was sunk by an IJN DD.

New Guinea Theater;
-Port Moresby bombed by air..units injured. Betty shot down

I'm ready to concede this game after the loss of the invasion
fleet. Well played Sully, to come back after the loss of all 6
fleet carriers is an achievement.

Japan is about 20000 VP ahead with about 38000 to 18000
for the Allies. And with China gone I don't see any chance of
catching up.

Allied co-operation was not up to par in this game, I did not
realize Cloner had the ASW tech until I played his turn for him.

BTW I played the last turn and one of you Zeros out of Rabaul
intercepted a B-17 and shot it down!
 
Thanks Eric, I'd like to continue just for the heck of it to see the newer tech units...Do you want to give up your place to someone else?? Cloner..would you want to take over for Eric? It isn't so much about winning or losing for me but there are some things I wanted to look at in the extended game.

Let me know? And it was about damn time one of those slug Zeke pilots did something!!!!

well, I just got ASW about two turn ago.
If he really doesn't want to play then I could take over but the thing is I am finally going somewhere during the vacation, so I will be abesnet for the next thurday to tue. (of August). during that time I can't play.
 
Cloner, If you are up to playing the entire Allies then go for it. We can take a break during your vacation and continue upon your return. But only if you want to continue the game.

will, I will probably play until CW was overrun, since it's probably impossible for Japan to make a direct frontal assault on US and succeed. but for Allied if CW failed it's really over. So that's my plan right now.
