Ooooh, what a great turn this was!!!

- My stupid Art is just useless! Not 1 hit!!! :(
- The stupid NI's have 2 movement points... lost 1 Inf trying to kill one.

The hopeless Chinese.

-The Cruiser De Ruyter again fires her guns in anger, crippling an IJN Destroyer trying to enter the Java Sea, where two of our own vessels were recently sunk.

-Dutch troops begin pillaging resources and roads in Sumatra and Borneo to slow the Japanese advance.

-Destroyers raid Davao, but fail to cause damage.

The Japanese are still unstoppable! In the last week of December, the Japanese made significant advances across Asia.

We are happy to report the following results:

China:
Hankow captured after some serious bombardment persuasion. All green NI used in the attack were promoted to regular. 2 inf killed W of Hankow; capturing 1 art, 2 workers. No losses.

Foochow captured. No losses.

1 MGB, 1 inf, 1 guerilla killed S of Chungking after some more bombardment. Lost 1 green NI.

1 guerilla killed N of Taiyuan.

Dutch East Indies:
Menado captured. DD scuttled in port. No losses. We are happy to announce that Commander Yamash|ta of that SNLF unit was promoted to first-class general for his quick wit and terrific battle strategies. He has proven his worth and will be given his own command of an IJA army.

Pacific:
Lost 1 DD when I ran into a sub near the US coast

Edit: The forum censors the General's name!

The shadow of the evil empire Japan falls long over the Pacific. The battered US forces attempt to fight back where they can.

US naval forces sink a IJN CA, DD, and I-Boat.
Jap forces near Wake redlined.

US forces lose a SS and DD.

Another 2 weeks have passed and there is still no sign of the Japanese strength waning. The western imperialists and its puppet Chinese government are being repulsed throughout Asia.

We are happy to report the following results:

China:
Kunming captured. No losses. Captured 1 art.
Lost 1 NI to guerilla, but the guerilla and the worker was subsequently killed by Combat Engineers.
Myitkyina captured. No losses.
Lost 1 Betty over Mandalay's CAP

Dutch East Indies:
Sangkoelirang captured (undefended).
Donggala captured (undefended). Captured 1 art.
Ketapang captured. No losses.
Boela captured (undefended).
3 DD sunk near Donggala.
Lost CV Ryujo to sub! >_< The Civ3 go command sucks, my CV went on the unscreened route!
Sunk 1 sub near Port Moresby

Pacific:
Wake Island captured. 1 F4F, 1 DB was scuttled on the airfield.

Btw Sully, is there a house rule on the number of planes you can stack on an airfield? I'm under the impression that you're only allowed 4. That means Midway Island is overstacked cause I see 1 DB, 3 BMB, 1 F4F.

CW attacked and injured IJN Marines north of Port Moresby. Ships bombed.

CW Forces land near Boela.

Australia prepares for the IJN Onslault!

China killed 2 NI.

China destroyed some roads.

China Government started to prepare the bags to go to exile.

NOTE: I don't like Armies, it's too unbalancing towards the Jap in this Scenario. If I play this scenario again I would suggest 1 unit per Army.

A guerilla action, supported by naval bombardment, is launched against Japanese infantry as they cross wetlands in southern Borneo. The guerillas fight to the death, inflicting heavy casulties but the Japanese hold their ground.

NEWS FLASH!
Japanese overruns Chinese defenses at Chungking!
Incoming reports indicate that forward elements Yamash|ta's newly minted army has breached the city walls of the Chinese makeshift capital of Chunking. After repeated Banzai charges against their relentless machine gunners, the Japanese 4th army broke the back of the weary defenders. Japanese losses were 2 regular divisions of Nipponese Infantry while the Chinese loses 2 MGB, 1 inf, 1 flak, 1 rifleman, and an estimated 3 fighter squadrons on the ground. Japanese intelligence sources have tracked down the fleeing Chinese leadership to the city of Sian where at this very moment is under siege by IJA overwhelming forces.

This just in... the Chinese city of Sian is about to fall. After weeks of preparation, the Japanese siege engine began its work in dismantling the hardened defenses at Sian. After repeated bombardment from artillery and planes, the Japanese army has reduced its defenders to an division of obsolete rifleman. Many Japanese green colonial troops are battle-hardened to become regulars as the Chinese defenders proved to be easy targets. It is believed that the Chinese have lost an estimated 2 MGB, 4 inf, 1 guerilla and 1 flak unit. The IJA reports that there were minimal casualties and only 2 green divisions from the China colonial forces were eliminated in this melee.

On the southern front, the IJN is making short work of the Dutch garrison at Palembang. With assistance from artillery based in the nearby islands of Singapore and the powerful IJN battleships, the garrison lost its morale and fell prey to the Japanese Expeditionary Force. The IJN reports that all but one nearly destroyed infantry unit remains guard at the once formidable Dutch outpost of Palembang. The Japanese reports no losses.

We also report the following events:
China:
Killed 1 guerilla near Hanoi.
Captured 2 workers near Chengdu

Pacific:
Lost 1 DD to sub near Wake, but it was subsequently destroyed by another DD

Dutch East Indies:
Sunk 2 subs side by side near Menado. Lost BB Hyuga to the sub >_<
Lost 1 Betty over Batavia to flak.

I hope you guys enjoy my writing this turn... it took awhile to figure this out.
