Quick question (two actually) before I get into the meat of the report:
Is there a rule of NO RAZING/ABANDONING? How come Boela is a pile of rubble on my turn?

MAINLAND ASIA ALMOST SECURE
Mandalay's defenses proved unworthy of the IJA siege engine as the hardened city was taken in a matter of days since the start of the shelling. The MGB outside guarding the radar tower was quickly dispatched by the IJA elite tank army. Using tactics learned from German miltary advisors, IJA commanders tested this new doctrine which the Germans calls 'blitzkrieg'. With supporting fire from artillery on all sides, the city falls with no contest from 'blitzkrieg'. With the defeat of the British garrison at Mandalay, Japan's rightious rule over Asia is almost complete. Front line reports indicated that the Chinese has given up and Nipponese Infantry marched uncontested into the city of Sining. It's only a matter of weeks before all of Asia is under Japan's enlightened rule.
ROYAL NAVY ROUTED
In a carefully orchestrated plan, the IJN ambushed the remnants of the British Far East Fleet. Unable to match Japanese firepower and air superiority, the fleet fell quickly. IJN officials reported that the remaining BB Revenge was sunk along with its two-destroyer escort. IJN lost a battleship when its guns misfired causing massive fires throughout the ship. Despite that, two additional RN transport flotillas were destroyed. But before they sunk, they managed to strand their troops onto nearby islands. What good leader would leave their men on such desolate islands?
JAVA UNDER SIEGE
The IJN expeditionary forces began their work in driving out the Dutch imperialists from the peaceful island of Java this week. Batavia was raided by Nipponese infantry which resulted in the Dutch losing one of its guerilla pirate divisions. Further troops were landed nearby and it is expected that Java will fall in the next few weeks.
JAPAN RUNNING LOW ON DEPTH CHARGES
Admiral Yamamoto, disgusted by the loss of a carrier last week, ordered IJN destroyers to use depth charges indiscriminately on any signs of sub activity. Recent reports indicated that this reckless maneoveur is paying off handsomely. To our carrier admiral's relief, four US submarines fell victim to this new policy at the cost of two DDs. IJN commanders have already placed orders for new depth charge batches as this unconventional tactic may prove devastating to the allied fleets.
(Here's my guess for the sub's HPs: 3/4, 1/3, 1/3, 1/3)
US BOMBING CAMPAIGN UNCHALLENGED
This week, planes flew over last US remaining oil resource and pummelled it to rubble. IJN reports that one dive bomber unit was shot down when it ventured too close to the air training facility near Portland. From intelligence sources, the allies have no more oil remaining for their war machine. It is an amazing change of fortune in the last few weeks that the once resource poor nation of Japan now has oil and the rich imperialistic allies are running dry.
PORT MORESBY UNDER HEAVY AIR ASSAULT
In another bid to control New Guinea, IJAF redeployed its best squadrons to challenge the airspace around Port Moresby. After some fierce dogfights, the IJAF finally overwhelmed the small number of CAP defenders and terminated them from the sky. IJA losses were one zero squadron. The follow up wave of planes bombarded the port unchallenged and it is believed that many units stationed there were damaged or sunk.
Other news:
1 guerilla killed near Sining
1 Anzac killed in Indochina
Sorry guys, this paper isn't very well written. Too tired from work to write good headlines.
