ANZAC DESERTIONS ON THE RISE
Left stranded on an island near Koepang, Commonwealth troops quickly fell prey to disease and malnutrition. IJN admirals noted this British atrocity against its own people and decided to take action. Relief came in the form of SNLF troops landing aid to those forgotten troops. With the sight of relief, the stranded ANZACs quickly surrendered to the Imperial liberators. There were scuffles with some stubborn people but the IJN reports no injuries. Japanese-sympathetic opposition parties in Australia called for the immediate withdrawal of ANZACs and the disassociation from the tyrannical British Commonwealth.

Other news:
Sunk 1 sub that probably sunk DD Ayanami.
Sunk 1 DD near Darwin

Btw, Sully, please play fair. I see 6 planes on Midway... I thought we agreed to limit planes to 4.

I have to admit that I lose track of the AF limits. Disbanded 2 units. I need to repeat to myself...4 units per AF. I certainly can't afford to lose offensive units.

At any rate...SS Ahi sank a Trans west of Wake. Hope that was an incoming fully loaded Trans???

Bombed IJN forces on Wake.

Rubber source restored. US Seabees busy as well....BEEs! All offensive units are available for building.

I have been a little lax myself especially in regards to Air Attacks. So CBot if I get your drift you are looking for something like....

Road south of Ketapang destroyed by air attack? Or are you both looking for more detail like....

Road south of Ketapang bombed by land-based or carrier based bombers?

Is this what you guys want to go with from here out? Appreciate the way you guys have moved the game along. The outcome certainly seems to hang in the balence in 1942.

I think I'd opt for:
Road south of Ketapang destroyed by air attack

Cause if you're playing this in real-civ mode, you'll just see planes flying overhead but you can't see its source.

Btw, I hope that wasn't part of your turn results you forgot to mention Sully... :(

No, it was just an example TG. I think we'll go with descriptions of attack as listed above in TG's post. Will that work for you CBot??

Sully

Yup thats fine for me.

It's really just if I get a sub sunk, I wan't to know if it got found by another sub, bombed by aircraft, or attacked by a ship, so you have some idea of what is waiting for you out in those deep blue seas. ;)

As for bombarding, again I don't need to know where it came from (that's probably giving a bit much away :p), but for example, I notice some roads on WA have been bombed, but I can't remember if they were already bombed the previous turn or not. So just if the report said 'Ships bombed WA roads' that's enough for me.

Thanks a lot. I'll play the game tonight and send it off. Sorry for the delay. Work and such, but I'm on holiday, now, finally........ \o/

GPS.

CW planes bombed one of the paratroopers on PNG, and the aforementioned Marine unit sitting on an island.

The Dutch had a party.

WEI-CHINESE FORCES JOINS IJA
With the Chinese nationalism spirit at an all time high since joining GEACPS, many young Chinese men are volunteering to sign up for a tour of duty against the Western imperialists. When asked about why he joined the army, this Chinese soldier responds: "We really never have enough food to go around when Chiang and his gang were running the show in China. Supplies were always short because of the high corruption of the Chiang regime. The fact that much of our money was flowing into the pockets of the Westerners, we couldn't import any food. When the Japanese came, they helped us by shipping food from Chosen. It's about time that we got even for decades of money laundering." What chance does the US and Australia have against the combined might of China and Japan?

(really, I don't have any big news this turn)

Pacific:
Killed 1 inf in Papua-New Guinea with para after plane attack
Sunk SS Ahi with my I-boat near Wake
Destroyed radar tower at Midway with planes

ALL ABOARD THE ORIENTAL EXPRESS
The Imperial Ministry of Transportation is proud to announce the reopening of the Oriental Express train service. After years of conflict, the badly damaged train line is finally restored to former glory. Stretching from the port of Pusan in Chosen to the former British fortress of Singapore, this rail line is among the world's longest railroads. GEACPS citizens can now freely move about in Asia without border restrictions. Price of an adult ticket from Pusan to Singapore is expected to be around 20 yen and child tickets are 5 yen.

RN CAUGHT WITH THEIR PANTS DOWN
Brisbane locals were surprised to see fireworks again after celebrating the launch of HMS Magestic. IJN ships patrolling caught the carrier on its shakedown cruise and pummeled it back into the sea. Environmentalists in Japan are celebrating this monumental event as this allied carrier will provide a suitable home from many coral reef fish.

The Australian government urges citizens of Western Australia to ignore rumours that a really big Japanese invasion fleet is sitting just out of range and is going to land this week. On the contrary, the war is going well for us! Still, it never hurts to have your bags packed and ready...

In other news, a government intern was fired after forgetting to pass on an important message to the mayors of Broome and Carnavon; that they should destroy all non-essential infrastructure that could aid Japanese invaders. The intern was heard to say, "When I remembered, it was too late. The Dutch had already moved."
