Egypt
The guards on Theben's city walls watched as the two chariots rode only a few hundred metres away from them. No arrows were shot, although the chariots were in range. The Pharaoh had given the order to stop the wasting of arrows, after allmost half of the arrrows had been wasted on the chariots and runners of the enemy. Only few arrows had hit their target, as the Upper Egyptians were attacking in a very loose formation. Armed with slings they did run towards the city walls, doging everything which was shot at them, until they could throw their load over the walls. Although the damage done by these runners was very low, the soldiers in the city had stopped to run in the open streats. Most were standing near the city wall, which protected them from the death from above. Much more dangerous were the chariots, as they carried excellent bowmen and were very hard to hit. At first they had shot burning arrows, which had forced the defenders to hide grain and other burnable materials, but later the Lower Egyptians had started to shoot the guards on the city wall. Shocked by the suprising accuracy many guards were now ducking whenever a chariot came from the Egyptain camps, instead of shooting at them. However those who didn't hide, rarely hit their target, as the fast moving chariots seemed to have magical bows which shot wider then every Lower Egyptian bow. The moral had dropped, as the soldiers felt helpless and some even said that the gods had cursed them.
The sun had left the sky to the moon and only the fires of the Upper Egyptian camp and the fires on the city wall of Thebens distrubted the darkness. In this silence a group of maybe a dozen man secretly left the waters of the nile on the eastern bank. They had crossed the river using only some floating trees. Sobek, the crocodile god, had been pleased with an entire cow which the band had thrown into the river, about one mile southwards. Now they were crawling along the road leading from the port to the city. Whenever a guard passed them they lay still. Now they only had to pass the five guards at the entrence to the city. It all happened very fast. The twelve man were the best of the Pharaoh and he had selected them for a reason. Now they were inside the city. They seperated into two groups. On went towards the Main Gate the other towards the slave quarters. By sunset their work would be done. And then Thebens would be in the right hands again.
Orders:
-grow army 1x
-use 5/6 of the army to retake Thebens. Attack from all sides. Before the initial attack, a small force will sneak into the city port. Then they will infiltrate the city and prepare the city for storming. The gates will be opened and the population of the city will be persuaded to start a riot. To persuade the slaves, freedom will be promised to everybody who supports Ramses.
-use 1/6 of the army to take the Sianai and Phoenicia
-claim some land to the west
