Travel Through Time

Thought I gave you the info :(

Equivalent to maceman, metal worked breast plate, ornate war paint and head dresses, fast move through mountain terrain.

Wow, lol. I think I gave all the info to SOG. I just recently moved to a new state/job, so it would be awhile before I could locate all my info.

yes I would definitely be interested, I could create a button, any ideas what youd like it to look like?

I want to release my test of time mod soon, as it is really starting to look good, and I would love to add them to the mod, there is an absolute plethora of civs in the mod, personally the best collection I've seen (the quality of the civs are much better than civ Gold)

Been meaning to ask Dac, have you decided to do the South American version yet? Or even the western hemispere scenario (pre-Columbus et al)? Seems to me we were discussing that before things kind of went... Off track.

I'm very interested in doing it

The problem is an accurate pre-Columbian mod seems a bit complicated, mostly because the of lack of knowledge and a variety of cultures leads to it being very difficult to create a tech tree (hard to create a universal tech tree, or even just one for one civilization, since the natives made limited progress compared to others, it would be hard for it to be a long tech tree. hard to find a bunch of unit upgrades (and techs to go with them) between warrior and spearman)

I had an idea similar to the small defense mod that comes with BTS, where you would be able to select one of maybe 20 native civilizations, and then you have to defend your land from European invaders, but it wouldn't exactly bee realistic, and not sure if it'd be youre area of interest

Several problems with that flag. Most importantly, I can't find a black and white version of it (which I need to create a proper flag & button) but also it requires several colors, its almost too detailed if that makes sense (you can't set it to two colors and actually look good)

What color scheme are you looking for? I can try to find some other symbols

I wouldn't say mega civ mod, there currently 93 civs so far, but for that number, I believe the quality is unmatched

I'd say 93 civs meets the requirements of being a mega civ mod. ;)

For the Chimor, the moon was as important to them as the Sun was for the Incans, maybe something moon related in that same Peruvian style. Colors would be gold and a russet orange.(russet being primary color and gold the secondary)

Hmnn, I see your point. How about something slightlt different then? How about an alternate timeline? I love your TTT series, but there is nothing in the Time rules that says you have to be historically accurate :D (Asimov would love that quote :mischief:). How about something along the lines of Euro discovery of the New World, only to find out that the "savages" had an empire/tech roughly equivilant to their own?
Could you imagine the the sheer look of dispair on Ol' Cortez's face when his Conquistidors run into Good Old Cupac's patrol of musket men (or similar tech)? Or even Monty's blood thirsty Jags with steel/armor that is customized for the jungle? Heh, could be fun Dac. Nothing wrong with throwing jaded Civvers a curve now and then, especially with an alternate time line.

I guess it is a mega civ mod, I hope to add more though

Alright I will try to find something, if I don't find something by Friday, comment on this thread then I probably forgot.

Ehh I mean if I'm not going with anything historically accurate, I think I'm going to go with the tribes idea. Basically theres gonna be 20 or so native people around the Americas, and they need to defend against random Europeans (since its not historically accurate, it may be the Spanish or the Danish or the Russians, who knows;))

Instead of a fake tech tree, I think I'm going to replace techs with basically religious sacrifice etc. That may be where you can help. Basically instead of discovering a technology, they will "discover" (preform) a sacrifice or some ritual, and get bonus from the gods

Hmnn, something along the lines of The Great Ghost Dance is what your aiming for then? Interesting possibilities, especially with the research and then implementation.

Basically, it wouldnt be as if they are researching how to do it, its just simply them doing it. Instead of research you would got worship points, the more worship points you have the faster you can please the gods

Do you think we could create a tech tree of maybe 20-40 of these? It will be slightly easier since we can include things from the Aztecs and other South American tribes

I had been contemplating ideas for a Native themed mod for awile actually. My idea was to have a tech tree themed and mirroring history for the most part.

I had Stone Age, Obsidian Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age and finally Iron Age eras, the last two being what-if.

It's an interesting concept and I really want to see if we can maybe pull something together as it would be an absurdly interesting mod

Speaking of natives my current UU for the Apache is Red Sleeve's Warrios. Any idea for a better one?

Also SOG, any plans on making more civs?

Yeah I definitely would like to get back into Civ making. It would be a lot easier now that I know Civ4 xml much better. Its almost been a year since I started modding...

Hows the list looking?

(On the Apache I don't know about another possible UU, they were excellent cavalrymen, that's pretty much all I know off the top of my head)
