BRAZIL INVADES VENEZUELA, Caracas, Brazil. On April 8th, Brazilian troops launched an attack on unprepared Venezuelan border guards. With a strike at Venezuela’s smaller navy and air force, the Venezuelans went with minimal air support in an effort to hold off Brazilian troops. Brazil’s larger numbers and superior firepower, combined with the Venezuelan army needing to move from positions on the Columbian border have caused Brazil to overrun the nation. With the governments unpopularity in Venezuela, the Venezuelan socialist regime only exists in the Maracaibo, with very little hope of holding out.
