The smaller maps are working ?

I haven't tried the smaller ones. Giant is the only one I'm really interested in playing. However, I'll try it out and see if anything changes.

I just loaded a huge map with all the same Civs & settings (although a lower number of city states... 15 I think? I still gave the maximum it would allow) without it crashing. What are your thoughts? Should I post the log for this?

edit: Checked and it was 25 CS, not 15, when it worked.

edit2: I tried again with the giant map, but with only 15 CS. Still crashed.
 
ehm--- any news about the possibility of having the number of playable civs excedinge the limit? :eekdance:

3GB of RAM, Dx11. It's worked for me before with the G&K version of the YNAEMP DLL, but I think I had leaderheads turned off for that. Even then I couldn't complete the game because there was a reoccurring crash that would always happen on the AI turn during one specific turn.

edit: To elaborate further, the giant map always worked no problem pre-G&K DLL even though I didn't have the 4GB of RAM that is recommended. It's only with the new DLL that I've had any trouble. I do have the quad-core processor that's recommended, however.

Yes, there have been some change in the game engine with patch 1.0.3.18, and I have the impression that in some cases, the performance are better when using the normal settings, but with mods outside the normal range (like the hundreds of new models from R.E.D. or the size of the giant map), the game is more prone to crash.

No dice. Still crashing even without R.E.D. or leaderheads. Am I SOL?

Map is excellent, but I have a problem with RESOURCES.
In Spain and France, - no wine :(
In South America too much spices(7), and stones and no silver!!!

Tell me please
What items should I select in the settings to have true resource placement and to get number of resources more optimal?

Well! i'd like to have the possibility to play as much civs are in the game... the best thing, I think, is that you could have the choice to add at the begining of the game... as civilization does. and you could reach also the number of 43 (and more as the civs will increase their number). In civ4 i made my own dll with 80... the problem was that i had vista 32 and not 64 and game crashed) Now i have vista 7, 64 bit... i hope to be more lucky :)

You'll have to do some XML editing if you want to add some deposit or change placement rules.

the actual max is 62 civs, you'll have to compile your own DLL for that.

If you just want all Civ5/G+K/BNW/DLC civs, simply use the 43 civs DLL.

Try to delete your cache folder.

you're trying with a saved game ?

and there are gems on the map, just remember that placement is semi-random.
 
Yes with saved game.I am in 541 turn.Problems with leaders screens started after I have installed Communitas Expansion Pack mod,Expansionism mod and InfoAddict mod.I want to finish game before I start a new one.Have you any solution for me???
 
None simple, I'm afraid you'll have to finish your game like that or start a new one.

Use one of the custom DLL that add more civs (28, 34 or 43)

for more you'll need to edit and compile the DLL source code (available on github).

A mod, unlike a commercial game, does not need to be finished for release at a given date. I'll work on it as long as I'm interested by it.

Making more than 22 leaders have a 3D screen is technically impossible ATM.
