edit: Before BNW, I played on old PC which is horrible and I never had crash like this...

I went to options and reduce graphic to low or minimum and it worked ... I can play it now ...but is there any way to leave it all at the top and still play it ... if not ... PLEASE tell me what do I have to do ( enhance PC ) to work ???

Gedemon's back guys. Bit creepy, but look at his forum profile if you're curious. His sudden Steam activity piqued my interest and I checked his forum activity afterwards.

There is a strange but with some of the maps, some of the will just magically get thousands of gold per turn in the Renissance or Medieval, while some will get minus 1000+ GPT, as if they just borrowed them...

Also, even with resources scales to balance the map, I always find England to be one of the worst, it only seems to ever have deer or very rarely, Furs. I've even tried putting the resources to Rich. With only extra deer spawning.

That being said, Babylon is just plainly overpowered, it gets a ridiculous amount of Sugar..... even when trying to scale resources... :s
 
Hi. I played giant earth about 300 turns but then stopped because map is simply too huge. There was nothing to do excluding expanding but still there was more than half map empty.

Should I play large or normal size instead? Also what civs do you include normaly? I found putting random civs does not work very well because this is earth and missing China or India removes something essential.

Try the "greatest earth map" good size IMO.
 
Would you consider sexing up the area where Sydney is currently located? I've added TSL support to my Australia mod, but I can't help and notice that my starting location is less than admirable.

I dunno, you've got the entire continent to yourself with four natural wonders nearby (Great Barrier reef is 2)

I don't remember how far I was, I haven't resumed work on YnAEMP yet :blush:

IIRC I have added rivers in the area of the CS in Australia for the Giant Earth in v.21 or 22, but you can also add up to 6 specific resources for your custom civ (randomly placed on compatible plots around the starting position) by adding an entry in the <Civilizations_[mapcodename]RequestedResource> table

Example for the giant earth map, copied from the England entry:

I am playing Earth Huge Map with 37 Civs and 20 CSs but it only spawns like 8 or 9 CSs!

I tried to add more CS starting plots inside MinorCivStartPos.xml but it did not change anything.

I removed those that I knew that would collide but not even this changes the scenario.

Anyone knows how to make that actually 20 CSs are spawned?

Hello evrybody, I have found big bug in the YNAEMP Huge Earth Map - There's no gold and silver on the Huge Earth (120x80) Map v.22 - get set resources on "rich" and check it out - comedy XD
Gedemon, do something with it - please :) ! Giant Earth is too big , progress make turns become ages :cry: , large is a lille bit too small in turn.

Yes, it is true, I noticed it too.

Actually, gold and silver are very rare in the map, I never exlored them nor commercialized them and had never found them before; but a deep look into the map did show me that there are some of them around the desert of Africa and in north, central and south of America.

Yes, it is true, I noticed it too.

do you have the lua.log from just after loading the map ?
 
Gedemon when will you release the update fixing YnAEMP for the fall patch so that all 43 civilizations work through trade, espionage, etc.? There is that .dll someone posted earlier, and that works, though there are some minor bugs (diplomacy menu ends up showing every single civilization, including ones that have been killed). Plus, I think a lot of people (especially through the Steam Workshop) are waiting for the update to the mod itself, instead of fixing it manually (so lazy, I know).

I use the new Complete full pack among with Ynaemp v.22, Ynaemp Dll 43 Civs v. 1, Ynaemp Dll fix for GK v.1 and BNW v. 2, Ynaemp City States for BNW v. 1.

I use Earth Huge Map, Only TSL placemente with minimun or not checked distance.

I have tested it a lot and also prepared a list with non-colliding Civs and CSs, but it varies from 8 to 10 when the distance is not checked and it can place like 3 or 4 when minimun distance is active.

Well, I am uploading a save game and three log files: database, lua and xml.

Also, I am sending a xml in which I placed few more CSs in Earth Huge Map and you can copy to your file if you want.

Yes, I have been experiencing the trade route problem too as none of my founded cities could make it, only captured cities could without my management. I have a game at medieval age with this problem, so Gedemon if it is useful somehow, please, tell me that I upload it.
