[TSL] Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack

Well i worked out what is going on that is odd, its when you select 'historic resources'
.
.
spoiler tags not working spoilers for england below.

The xml specifies requested resources of 2 iron (2 for the entire british isles is bizarre lol), fur??, whale (which appears off the coast in a place no city will reach), silver (doesnt appear?) and some coal.

It seems when you specify historic resources the game decides there no need for any more stuff so you start with fur as the sole luxury reachable and if your lucky you get a fish as the sole food bonus. The british start seems to be defined as a big square with lots of water involved for placement.

It makes a pretty horrid start for england really compared to the other civs ive tried (i tried a game as russia and germany and india and it was crazily nice), but i guess thats part of the challenge and im probably the only one playing the smaller maps...everyone likes the giant ones

If you turn historic resources off then you get a playable game- personally id remove the requested resource of fur as it has no real historical context, fur is just generic for most civs. Requesting whale is pointless as its in a place sensibly placed cities wont reach

At the end of the day ill play someone else, thanks again for taking the time to make this mod - i love scenarios much much more than random maps and its modders like the maker of this one that keep me playing.

If anyone has any requests for recommended starting resources, any TSL that should be supported internally, or any outstanding bugs, please post them now. I am preparing an update that Gedemon will update to the Workshop, and I would like it to be as thorough as possible.

Thanks JFD and Gedemon,

Glad to hear that the resources will be working again for this map. Any chance realistic placement for the resources from More Luxuries could be implemented as an option?

Not sure if this can be fixed but sometimes the city states will move from their starting positions to build a city and causing another city state settler to just sit in place and never build a city.

I only play the standard sized map but from a historical point of view the UK was invaded by the romans for its metals. There were some gold deposits but only small, not enough for a starting resource to be historically accurate

The main metals found by the romans in vast quantities were lead (and large deposits of silver with the lead deposits) and iron / copper- iron mined in the british isles armed the roman empire.

So realistic starting resources for england would be silver, copper, iron.

still having an issue in which a cultural victory happens without fail on turn 10. i have all DLC and GvK loaded, but not a single other mod. if i turn off culture win, than the social policy dialogue doesn't open.

anyone have anything i could try? i've gone through the regular trouble shooting stuff ie. cache delete, etc.

ediT: tried with no DLC at all. no change

This does indeed sound very weird. Does it happen on all maps? Have you tried deleting the mod and reinstalling it? Are you using JFD's v.23 patch? Do you have logging enabled? If you do, try posting your lua log - I'm not sure it'll help, but it's worth a shot.

I would LOVE to see working (visible, choosable in starting menu and playable) Huge Europe Map and Greatest Earth Map

They already exist. See JFD's signature.

Compatibility file for Hiram's city states has been finished and sent in to JFD. For now only Giant Earth, but I fully intend to add coordinates for regional maps too. Other world maps will also happen, but tbh that's a far lower priority.

Can someone please guide me through this I'm still a newbie on getting some mods to work. I have tried to learn as much as I can through google and this forum. I wanted but couldnt get YnAEMP to work with the Colonialist Legacies - Philippine Republic. I also have the Colonialist Legacies patch and got Australia and Mexico to work. And by work I mean be able to choose on the menu to play as.

I have:
-Yet (not) Another Earth Maps Pack (v 23)
-Colonialist Legacies YnAEMP Compatibility Patch (v 1)
-[BNW] Colonialist Legacies - Phillipine Republic (v 3)
-[BNW] Colonialist Legacies - Australia (v 3)
-[BNW] Colonialist Legacies - Mexican Republic (v 1)

Please help. Thanks.

What map were you trying to play them on? If the Philippines haven't got any TSL data for the particular map (since each map requires different TSL coordinates) they wouldn't be selectable, which may be where the issue is coming from.

I tried to use the Giant Earth map of YnAEMP. I thought the Colonialist Legacies YnAEMP Compatibility Patch (v 1) have the TSL for Philippines since it was said it is what's required to play them. Does it have TSL for Philippines or not? Can someone please share it to me if there is something I miss or don't have.

The Colonialist Legacies thread also has this posted:
Civs with YNAEMP Support: Philippines, Vietnam, Boers, Blackfoot, Dene, Inuit, Cree, Australia

But how?

*Thanks for the reply.

Wow got it to work this time. I re-download all of those mods I mentioned and installed it again. I don't know why it didn't work the first time.

One more thing though the philippine islands were sad and so small on the giant earth map, I hope someone could enlarge it a bit or just add the southern island Mindanao. It should be balanced since you can play it as a major civ now with the mod. :)

That's all for now. Thank you guys! :)

I found that the YnAEMP (v.23) custom setup drop down selections are blank if both "Exploration Continued Expanded" and "More Luxuries" mods are enabled. It works fine when only one of them are enabled.

Mods used while issue occurred:

YnAEMP (v.23)
Community Patch (5/3)
Community Balance Patch (5/3)
CSD (5/2)
C4DF (4/15)
CBP-Compatibility (5/3) (No-EUI) or CBP-Compatibility (5/3) (EUI Version) with EUI (CBP) (4/15)
More Luxuries
Exploration Continued Expanded

Okay, so I think the one thing missing from YNAEMP is Dynamic City Naming. The actual code work has pretty much been done by FramedArchitect. What is going to take a long time is actually finding coordinates for all the city names. I'm going to start working on it though, and if anyone would like to help, PM me with a region you'd like to do. I'm going to start with Australia/Oceania myself.

Hey guys, I've been having some problems with my game!
I know this is probably already been adressed but the topic has 95 pages, I'm having trouble to find a solution.

So since I've played some games in Ynaemp on Earth maps I'm having trouble with resources (There is almost no resources on the map) when I try to play PerfectWolrd3 or any maps other than Ynaemp.

I've already tried to reinstall the game, clear the cache, deleted all mods, change the config.ini.
I'm using v23

Any idea what I can do to solve this?

edit: more info

Hm, can you describe how you set up your games with ynaemp? I'm a little confused since I'm pretty sure there shouldn't be a 'PerfectWorld3'when playing with this mod.
