Turn 138 - 190AD

rcoutme, I don't think anyone disputed you as COMA.

People however can't tell what you are thinking unless you tell them, therefore don't be surprised when people ask for explanations to your comments.

I don't want your office nor you gone from it. You merely stating that that was the way it would go down without any back-up other than 'tactical reasons' was just like me stating I have my own. I didn't have any. I was merely using your justification for mine. And because you took the time to post a nice sized message, I assume that you weren't happy with my reasoning. Just like I wasn't with yours.

C3B will get GA sooner or later
And I would prefer much later. I breathed a sigh of relief as I read through the battle reports (had to reread a few; nearly had a heart attack).

Also, why the hell isn't Rio de Janerio their capital anymore?

Akots, we lost 12 hps to their 8! I would not call that an 'unavenged' attack.

@ RegentMan: AFAIK, Rio de Janairo has never been Brazuca's capital. Just the place they built the Hanging Gardens.

You had me there!

Why did you attack with the Javalin Thrower first?! This had the highest chance of giving them a Golden Age.

My reaction is the same as Goonie's. Javalin Thrower 1 HP left. An Ancient Cavalry that luckily retreated and the other that had only 1 HP left as well. :ack:

Ah yes. I just went back to turn one and saw that it was Brasila, or something like that. I just remembered that their capital was a city of Brazil in real life.

Well, risk is part of the game, and it is better to preserve AC as long as we can.
No guts no glory.

Read the thread; specific instructions from CoMa.

All their cities are real Brazillian cities, and Brazillia is their RL capital

Well, I know that Brasilia is real life capital. I didn't realize every other city is one too, though.

Indeed risk is part of the game. But unneccessary risk is not. Having barely above a 50% chance of not giving C3B their golden age when two more capable units were in range... We saw an ancient cavalry retreat; the JT could have attacked that guy. I'm glad that we came up on top this time, but next time, we may not be so lucky. Delay that golden age for as long as possible. Us being in one and them not is an advantage that will win us the war. Let's not throw it away for an enslaved worker.

Well, Regent Man, you forgot to address the operational scope in all this.
Remember the bigger nature of this maneuver. I will post you an article from Asset Group on non-linear warfare as opposed to linear, and you will see what we meant.
The major picture was not the battle, but to proceed with our operation with giving away minimum intel, not losing momentum and keeping the force moving.
