Types of extraterrestrial beings

(you youngsters may not get this reference)

I resent that characterization, sir!

Aquatic creatures have a major disadvantage when it comes to space flight, that being the weight of water. Imagine the size of the Saturn V, then image you flooded the crew compartment with water and recompute your payload lift needs though a mist atmosphere may work for aquatic mammals. Weightlessness and shielding might be easier for them though.

As for tool manipulator tenticular manipulation works. The octopus is already amazingly dexterous, if it coordinated two or three together you basically have fingers with far better control and range of motion.

I'm not sure that deities, irrespective of how real or popular they are, are aliens...

Erich von Dániken would disagree!

VRWC, I approve of your choice in video games, but the sequel was superior. :)

You forget the infiltrating kind of aliens, the sort that either invade someone's brain and force them to do the biddings of the alien overlords or wholesale swap out the person for a sinister alien duplicate.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers. But this is scarcely fiction. To the best of my knowledge there have been 15 alien takeovers this week alone.

Well there's that Solaris one. A bit hard to describe, though. A planet-sized empathic consciousness, perhaps?

Most carbon based life in the universe will probably be some variation of examples of past and present life on Earth. The Laws of Physics are universal. For life to form and evolve requires things to be within a certain threshold of the possible. If another planet shares similar characteristics as Earth then it would follow that life would take a similar evolutionary path. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there is life that is similar to life on Earth somewhere in the universe. The major problem there is that if intelligent life is like ours there in lies a strong possibility that they didn't survive their atomic age or adopted environmentalism in time to prevent collapse. Of course, there is also the possibility that they did survive past that stage and have technology far more advanced than our own.

there's the whole Anunnaki thing as well.
Aren't those just the reptilian aliens again?

Or is that the civilization riding on a planet, that came last time 15,000 years ago to kick-start human civilization and they're due again? Any time soon, of course.

Well, this is somewhat interesting:

It is a Byzantine painting, probably created in the early 14th century in what was then Serbia (now Kosovo). Notice one of the flying stuff above Christ:

Seems like the spaceship has the symbol known as "The sun of Vergina", ie the symbol of ancient Macedonia, used also by other Greek states before.

So the aliens were indeed Greek. :) They will return to lift Greece up to its rightful place, away from this abyss, right into the epicenter of the Cosmos.

Besides, if that being in the flying object was not Alexander, i am sure he would tend to be Diogenes ;)

I think it is obvious that the Greys are time traveling/parallel universe traversing humans sent back in time to plunder the genetically ripe harvest that is 21st century mankind. That's at least more likely than aliens traveling unimaginably large distances in order to stick things up our butts.
