Tyrants of Terra

I really don't like it as it takes away some of the most fun part of the game imo, the early planing an exploring... Live sessions are great though. With 12+ players it could be pretty hard to fit in unless you arange long time beforehand though...

If a live session can't be organised then advanced start would speed up the very early stages. It could be set fairly low so that you can't afford much. But I am happy either way.

the biggest problem with advanced start is that it totaly screw up the early dynamics and make you make tons of decisions based upon hidden information...

not if we give all the players just a few points for a settler a worker etc.

I would like to make the request that we don't have such a crowded map.

Otherwise early warfare and having the proper resources dominates the game, and aggressive civs have a very large advantage over civs with more peaceful traits.

I agree, especially if there are going to be quite a few newbies in. Or at least one no more crowded than a standard setting (i.e. if you have about 7 go for standard, 10 go for large etc.). The New World won't help. It comes far too late to help those who are cramped early on. There will be plenty of close borders and competition for resources without packing us in like sardines.

But as usual I'll play if it's crowded or not :)

It doesn't actually matter that much to me. I only pray that if i don't get copper i am either babylon protective or mali. As otherwise you might find your land belonging to someone else before long. I feel i already have a good grip of what to do in wide open situations, playing very cramped would definatly be a change of pace(you get to settle at most 3 cities before you have to war probably...

assuming we get all the players who have signed up here + some of your local players it would be way better to play on a huge map no?

Can we get some overview of this game??

The host should use the first post to inform of who is in and who is not. Also we should have an overview of game settings.
