14-15 players if everyone who said something in this thread is interested in playing. That is a huge map? Large could also work though would be very crammed.

As to the Random leader thing. I think a Terra map allows all sorts of different strategies.

Peaceful growth and colonization.

Economic domination

Outright warfare.

You should assign a civ to everyone once you have started this up so it is not a first come first serve principle(or assign numbers from the top).

I think that if we gonna start this game, the best choice is to let people to submit again. Then we'll now how many people are seriously interested in game...
Also, random leaders can be very fun, but in that case we have to randomize leaders before game started, just to avoid some possible cheats

I am sorry to say I have bed ridden for a week!

Next week I attend BGG CON here in Dallas, but hopefully we can start before then

I intend to use a Terra map which usually would hold 9 players
I'm looking at around 12

Huh? Large or huge or standard? What do you mean by usually hold 9 players? When are we looking to start? And who are with us? Make a list in the first post along with finalized settings(as we get them).

kinda doubt it is standard with the number of people who have signed up so far... Large would seem likely. If we get more huge is not out of the picture...
