Russia: I'll be brief, OK?

1. Saying you lost men and therefore you deserve land is a joke. Britain lost 2x as many men as you, Libya FOUR times as many, both are willing to have peace. The only nation who lost LESS men than you is Spain because of their overwhelming force and late entrance into the Italian battle..

2. Sweden fought back your "attacks" easily twice, and now they can block Prussia with a fleet in E and devote their entire army to Russia. Sweden can support 19 armies in addition to their fleet... They can already bring 8 armies directly to bear on Russian land with the prudent usage of a second fleet, and with a third, they can bring 12 the next turn. Sweden is poised (like France) with a capital which can conveniently counter-attack anywhere..

3. When Prussia sees the futility of a naval war (just like England did) then Russia will be the only power to be draining money into war. If you trust your neighbors enough to leave your borders ill defended, it's not my business.

4. Britain and France are the first nations to ask Russia to end the war now, but they will not be the last. If innocent lives continue to be wasted, a French trade embargo of Russian goods will be considered next turn to force Russia into peace. We mean peace all over Europe and will accomplish that goal even if it earns us the hatred of Russia.

5. The war was over Denmark, not Sweden. Therefore, once Sweden has accepted the British ownership of Denmark the war is finished, except for the greedy imperialists who joined it to get land. Libya, France, and Spain were forced into the war by the menace of the Italian troopships floating in the West Med, and they should keep the land they took, but not remove Italy from the game.

6. That's how I see it. Others may think different, let's hear from them.

Exerts from British Magistrate Meeting and Proclamations:

1.) Russia shall not gain any Swedish land, words backed by both France and Britain. By no meens was this war raged to gain land rightfully belonging to Sweden, it was to protect Denmark.

2.) A new parliament party has been created to check the kings decision, and in which will consist of 35 delegates each elected by by the people of each province, 5 per province. The parliament has the power to apponint new laws and disband that of old laws. The first act was a bandment of slavery, and a proclamation that all PEOPLE are equal and have equal rights. Only Adults over the age of 17 can vote.

3.) A letter has been assembled to be delivered to Spain.

4.) France has proven it's loyalty to England, and all has been forgotten about it's past horror.

But things are not good in my land, the economy has been downsizing ever since the war, and to keep up the fleets of the English channel to protect England, we ask a favor from you. Space: here is my knowledge:

War started by Britain (me) and Sweden over a conflict in Denmark. I claimed it for England, and Sweden got angry. War began, and soon activated the MPP's between England and Spain, and Sweden and Italy. Spain and England are the closest friends in the game, and so Spain was able to bring in Lybia, or destroyed Italy, along with the help of Spain in the end. Soon France joined and heped destroy Italy, and Russia too helped Britain against Sweden. Many attempts by Russian and English troops to invade Sweden failed, and soon peace was offered. Denmark remains English, but the war has ended. Evidently, however, Russia still wants a piece of Sweden land, and that is why me and France are trying ot even things out.

As of now, Lybia and Spain are still at war with the war-tangled Italy, France has offered peace to both Sweden and Italy (after taking Italian land), British and Swedish have made peace, but Russia still rages on to destroy Sweden. We'll see what happens, though.

USA: Does President Bernard grant Napoleon an MPP as well (our emissary requested one, but maybe you didn't get his letter)? Our Statue of Liberty is almost complete, and we'll take it apart again to ship to you.. it's about 180 feet high.

Do as YOU choose Tzar. But you will end it now or face embargo from France, and so will any other nation who continues to war (except Spain and Libya, they just need 1 more turn to finish off Italy). I still haven't submitted my orders, you have time to change your mind.

Besides, Russia, you're already one of the wealthiest nations on earth, why do you need Swedish land? Sweden never did anything to you, you stabbed him in the back, breaking a NAP, just to gain land when you saw he didn't have a chance against the Allies. The only Russian armies lost are ones foolishly wasted by you on futile little miniature invasions...

BRITAIN: I'd like to congratulate you on your new Parliament, who has been making great strides in the same direction as the "Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite" offered to the people of France.

In the meantime, I hear you have forgiven me for my "past horror".

I also hear that your economy is weak. If you need a helping hand from France, just ask. Our economy will soon be booming because we have no military to support.

Along the same lines, I can't help but wonder - if you didn't have 3 fleets in the Channel, you wouldn't need to borrow 3 credits from Spain.

I hope we can return to the old DMZ pact in the English Channel (neither side allowed to put fleets there) now that we are both at peace and ready to rebuild our nations.

I understand Britain's urgent need to place fleets there when you misunderstood the character of Napoleon, but now there is no need for them.

Whether you choose to do so or not, the French fleets will not enter the English Channel.

I am glad you are one of the few nations to give us peace without resorting to extorting money from us. It seems many nations don't realise that a new government has taken control, elected by the Italian people rather than being a dynasty, and still seek to destroy us for no other reason than our King had foolish dreams of honour.

As I am sure you know, with the 4 gold paid to France, and very little money of our own, we don't have the money to abandon Rome.

But due to your bullying, it seems we must. We would like to offer a deal though.

We give you Rome and Province 28 in return for Sardinia, no more bloodshed, and the promise to become a vassal state of Libya by only guarding our island with 3 armies, and otherwise sending fleets to support Libyan movements and help eradicate piracy.

I know this is slightly audacious, asking for land from you, but in return you get two provinces, and we get a secure island that we can feel safe in, not being in the centre of European conflicts.

Also as vassals, we would send troops to any war you are in.

Another option is to leave us with Province 28, and peace, but no love lost between Libya and Italy.

I am aware of my 6 fleets in the English Channel, and understand where you are coming from, but you must unerstand: Britain has no army, and has no need for one, has a small empire, and nothing to stand for. A large Navy is what is needed for my nation, and is what my people want. Therfore, a huge Navy is what I will keep, even if a depression occures. I will however, honor the DMZ pact we had before half way, three fleets shall vacant as of the turn following the next turn.

Spain: I thank thee for your generousity. However, three gold is quite enough, it shall allow me to construct two town halls to boost the economy, hopefully.

Hmm. I'll probably introduce one alongside the new tax, upkeep and costs I intend to bring in.

I'm currently thinking along these kinds of lines, what do you think?:

I'm going to either randomly spread out(I know a way that I can use dice to do it) resources in provinces, or give one per nation. These WILL be in a province, and so capturable.

They most likely will be ones like:

Gold: Upkeep costs only three quarters of what it normally does.

Saltpeter: Armies get a +1 bonus.

Wood: Fleets get a +1 bonus.

Stone: Town halls cost 1 less gold, production centres, barracks and dockyards cost two less gold.

Grain: You only pay half the upkeep cost for armies(rounded up).

Fish: You only pay half the upkeep cost for fleets(rounded up).

Gems: Your provinces generate 1 gold extra per turn.

You only get TWO lots of each resource you own, including for your own use.

This means if you want to keep one for yourself, you only have one to trade.

Anyway, this is only a rough idea at the moment.

Prussia: If you want to break the MPP we have no objection. We DO hope to keep at least a Non-Aggression Pact with you, if you're willing. This would give a bonus to the defender if either nation attacked the other, acting to discourage war between us. Respond ASAP please...

Britain: thank you for that sacrifice at least... we understand your need to protect your seas since you are an island.
