Uknes2

Anyway, it's looking better lol, just also include more African coast.

I would have done an update tonight, but I only have 5 orders!

Surely all of the others aren't on holiday?!

Please get orders in, I've changed my policy to if the orders get in fast enough I'll do the update once a day!

Nemesis

Do I have my orders in yet? I'm just banking all my gold.... and so is everyone else I bet. There's going to be a gold cold war soon! :D Spain and I are already competing for largest treasury...

The map is here: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/6200/a.html and the other pages have the other parts of the map.

This is more work than I thought! It's hard to split up land so everyone gets an equal share... I noticed in JNES the map gives a HUGE advantage to Germania, long border notwithstanding. And here, Turkey/Spain have pretty large advantages...

Yes, you have your orders in Troquelet.

And how can you read that site?! It's in French!

I now have 6 orders in. I will update tomorrow however many are in.

And if you don't PM me saying that you're banking, then I think you're not here, and so I move for you. So don't blame me if you end up with 25 armies and 10 fleets :p

The Iron Fist was a miserable flop. It just shows how divided the East really is. just kidding, Anarchy.

Anyway, UKnemesis actually does not condemn peeking in subthreads - in game terms it counts as "espionage".

(also, in case you didn't know, the posted plans in WEPOP were a cover - I was going to PM "real" plans later, taking advantage of the fact that you prepared for the cover plans...) deep, very deep :D

Anyway:

TSAR: Feel free to sign the WEPOP if you like. Of course we'd have to change it to WEPOPAIR, that is Western European Pact of Protection (And, Ironically, Russia).

Of course, that would first need the ratification of Libya/Spain/England. Which, is probably out of the question. So the suggestion is moot and a jest

Oh, Uknem, about the maps, you don't need French. I just use the outlines. I use the patented Troq method, that is: I go to each map in the list here: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acropolis/6200/regions.html the ones under "Region" not under the dates. Then, I take a screenshot of each map, I paste into Paint. I select and copy the map part of the screenshot. I paste that into ClarisWorks 4.0 Drawing (first altering the Document [under Format] to 100 pages by 100 for plenty of room). Now, I overlay the twelve or so maps, overlapping. Taking the polygon tool I trace the outlines. Quite simple, and it gives an all-purpose map from Arabia to Norway and Babylon to Cadiz.

BTW, are you doing an Africa expansion next? I found this good map... http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/africa/africa_pol01.jpg

I am NOT a good mapmaker! LOL, you should see my first map, then UK made me one. So all the credit goes to UK ;) Great map though, troq.

To France

Dearest Napoleon II,
I am glad we could come to a quick resolution regarding the English Channel. There is no need for us to argue over a lousy strip of water. I do not see why Russia can not be in the pact. I welcome any nation wanting to become friends.

-Britain

To Canada

Dearest President,
You have nothing to fear, our fleets are on their way home. You may not be so lucky then next time, though.

-Great Britain

O great Britain,

My people thank you for turning your ships around. Do not listin to russia when she plots war. The war that russia encourged almost had your armies fighting elsewhere when she could have stabed at your homeland. My advice is to keep your fleets in the Easten waters as that they could not invade.
If your cleaks check the records we have a NAP so that when russia goes on that i'm just waiting for a chance at you, Im sure you do know better.

Canada

wow..... ive missed a lot, but Uknemesis is doin a great job with my land...

a few questions, white squares= ports? black squares = townhalls? black circles= barracks?

and to the anti-pirate fund, ill donate 20credits. (if its still going?)

Now, yet again i have to go away, sorry bout that:) But i will be back tuesday or wednesday. So im gonna write up my orders and if there is another turn before i get back, just save money i guess..

Terribly sorry I haven't been around but I found two new computer games to play. Dungeon Siege and WW2 Online
Sooo I wont be here enough to participate in the UKnes. sorry to anyone this may upset.

Canada

Britain was the one who first started the plost to help USA out, not Russia. Maybe your clerks should check up on that (:))

MAJOR RULE CHANGE

To stop any more Rome like attacks(where you build a fleet, build the armies then send the armies on the new fleets to attack an enemy province without them getting a chance to respond), I am announcing this new rule.

It is just that any new fleet cannot transport, but now CAN move when it is first built.

Good luck all!

Blackbeard strolled into his cabin, frustration showing on his face.

"The war appears to be over. It seems that for now we must step down our activities." he spoke calmly to his captains who were assembled there.

"But we will be back." he vowed.

To: The World
From: Great Britain

Great Britain has decided to withdraw to the three sea's surrounding Great Britain (excluding B), with three fleets in each. Armies will stand on guard and call in England. I suggest such actions to every nation of the world, as we should enter an era of peace, and Pirate Destroying. Britain will closely consider war with any nation that even slightly gives pirates gold or money, so we can cut them off at the source.

Very good, but I suggest you not listen to rumors, since they'll probably be wrong on purpose. A much more effective way is looking at the gold from turn to turn...

I'm glad the rules are changed, because Spain and I were having a Cold War of sorts... and the rule change makes my attack and his both impossible - so no more guessing!

OOC - C'mon guys don't let the NES die! :D This is actually the only NES with rules [besides "reality police"] that has gone 10 whole turns!

There are too many UKNES offspins I guess... there's JNES and I'm releasing my SUPERNES right now... and HISTNES is getting a lot of attention too, good job Toasty :D But let's keep this one running. I know at least 5 nations that are going to war within the next two turns, so it won't lack excitement.

Also now, to stop surprise attacks across the German/French border, new armies CAN move within their country, but CANNOT attack the turn they are produced.

Finally, I am beginning work on the UKNES3. I will be using the map I designed for Jason's NES, with more countries on it. I will be reserving spaces for those who played in this NES.

Let's just say this will be the best and most realistic NES yet, featuring tax rates, happiness, rebellions, and a true industrial upgrade feature.

Oh, and the reason that it is slow is that people are on holiday.
