I am sorry, friend, but the capital belongs to Britain. It is, in fact, MY enemies strong point. It, by all rights, should belong to me, the victim in the war, so that I can rest assured that the threat ceases. I am sorry, but it is my right. Lets, however, not go into a huge problem over this. It would be just what Euope will need to erupt into chaos, an Anglo-Russian war. Please, take into my words with an open mind. For example, if Turkey would attack you, then allies on your side help you. When the invasion finally begins, the capital becomes property of an ally that has done nothing? When it was your war in the first place, your allies get the main reward? It just isn't right, please, take this into consideration!

Title: Britain's temporary stance on the Russia-France conflict

Britain is deeply appauled by this act of Espionage, between both nations of France and Russian. First, I am happy for the work France was doing in wich to exploit weak alliance members. But, the fact that the information was not exploited right of way brings me to think about the generousity of France, and how far the nation would go for some money. Russia, on the other hand, frightens Britain much more, for Russia agreed to the plan to backstabe my and Spain's nations. I suggest the alliance members, Spain, Britain (which will remain in the alliance until after the war is over, in which I will break all ties except with Spain), and Lybia should hold a vote on if Russia and/or France gets to remain in the alliance.

All of this is temporary, and may change upon France's official declaration. As of now, all British military have been set on the highest alert possible.

As Lybia said during the meeting between the allies, she will wait for Napoleon's official declaration, and then will reconsiderate his MPP with France. But she has been very upset by the blackmailing of France and very frightened by Russia's agreeing with this dirty betrayal. I hope that closes Russia's allies, Prussia and Austria, will strongly condemn Russia for this and will also take note of this incident.

You must come to the realization that Russia, in reality, was only working out plans against me and England. Her allies, or at least Prussia, were not to be attacked (judging by Napoleon's talk of Austria, I cannot be completely sure).

In order for us to make a clear judgement on this, I ask for Tzar Chris to reveal the deliverance dates of the messages, in which case I will check on Napoleon and William III's "detente". Only then can we tell if Napoleon actually had intentions to carry this out or if he was trying to give Russia a "test of faith".

The "crisis ended" on Jul 05, 2002, at 08:57 PM. Clearly, Napoleon probably DID have intentions on following this out and creating an insurrection in the allies, and also tried to get a little change for it. Therefore, I vote for his immediate expulsion from the alliance and will not accept this insolence.

Spain condemns France for her treacherous intentions and demands an apology, and calls on the allies to respond to this.

And now, a small taster of what is to come in today's update:

PIRACY ON THE RISE: WHY?

There has been a sharp rise in piracy in Europe, and no one is quite sure why. Who is funding these outlaws? Are they fleeing from a greater enemy, or is a greater enemy hiring them?

Some look to America for the answers. A new President of the United States has been elected, and he has sworn vengeance upon Europe, and especially Britain for their continued patrols along his coast, and for funding the native Iroquois, who are desperately fighting off United States colonisation of the American West. The new President of the USA says that he feels his closest ally in Europe is France, a sister republic, but that is now ruled by a "pompous little man". Only God and the President know if France will be considered an ally or an enemy in years to come.

And in a shock move, Canada has declared her independence. Sources inside the White House say that the President may have had something to do persuading the Canadians. This action leaves the European powers with no foothold in North America, the USA's dream.

Americans are well known for turning to piracy and fast ships to avoid the British fleets, but now they have been worryingly silent. Just what are they planning?

Also, many of this pirates are now staging raids on mainland Europe, testing the defences, perhaps? Some easy targets are even taken and held by the pirates, while elsewhere rebellions are brewing, especially in British Ireland.

Who is to blame? And why are they doing this? Only time will tell.

[OOC- there will also be a North American map, which the Europeans will be able to reach(and vice-versa), and which will have three playable civs on it. Also, rebels and pirates(controlled by me) will be added]

You may find that you can persuade the pirates to attack an enemy of yours, or stop them attacking you with credits. But both are going to cost a bit. And they may turn on you... Plus they always will work for the highest bidder.

The Americans will all start fully developed, at about the same level as the Europeans, perhaps slightly less advanced but bigger.

I will only move into Switzerland, if France allwos me to. I DO NOT FEAR OF FRANCE. Sorry guys, been swamped a bit trying to find a map for this American update.

At the end of it all, I just ended up swiping America from Das's map and enlarging it, after many hours of looking through Diplomacy maps!

Anyway, update will be sometime tomorrow, I promise! And it will include the new additions!.

For now, here is a rough working version of the new North American map. The furthest east seas connect to A and H respectively.

I would like comments on this map, there is still time to change it.

Finally, I'm going to get some of the best Apolyton players to come over here and play, to take control of the American nations.

Do you think there are too many seas in the North American map? That's my thought at the moment.

Also, I may cut down a bit on the province sizes and add another nation.

For now, only those already in the game, and those I have invited from Apolyton are allowed to play I'm afraid(to anyone who's thinking of joining now).

Those I've invited are SKILORD, WTE_OzWolf and Space05us. I can assure you all that they are some of the best NES players you'll come across(plus they get orders in quick ). You probably already know SKILORD.

Also, Civman2000, a regular on 'Poly is on holiday, but when he returns, I hope to find him a place on here as well.

And as for those nations which are destroyed in this game, places will be found for you also.

That means I'm probably going to end up branching out into Africa as well, or South America. This is going to end up as a world NES I think lol!

Anyway, for now it's just going to be America.
