Art of War: more and better general is great. In G&K, generals is much better than in vanilla because they can also claim land by building citadels, which could only be done by GA in vanilla.

Free harbors can be a pretty major early game hammer boost in the right situation.

Sweden gets a boost to any GP generation, can be huge in the right circumstances, and gets a different way to use those generated GP. To me, that leaves Babylon's UA in the dust.

But the way its rising its almost as if people are thinking that its the best the UA. That I don't agree with and because of that I am just giving this UA a small speed bump

Viking Fury 13 (+1) The best blitzkrieg UA in game. With the AI being incompetent on singleplayer it shaves off several turns of siege. But on multiplayer with intelligent human beings - Viking Fury Shines its highest. You can out-tactic anything with it. And once you get units with Blitz - good fight facing a unit that can attack 6 times and heal 6 times (once the pillaging upgrade comes out)

There is an odd feature or bug connected to the embarkation/disembarkation aspect of VF. When you disembark, you retain all of your movement, including all of your naval bonus movement. You also ignore ZOC. Thus, a disembarking can give you ridiculous movement points. With blitz, you can keep attacking. With the new pillage for health change, you can pillage (for free as per VF) and attack as much as you want. Because ZOC doesn't apply, you can literally run circles around units and cities while attacking and pillaging at will. Assuming the bug/feature isn't fixed or changed, I'm with Gucumatz: VF is insanely underrated.

Sacrificial Captives : It does help to finish your first policy tree. And we have a good UU to make this possible even faster. When facing big wars after the ind. era it also help t go through powerful trees.

Nobel Prize : Not a big fan of this. In mp games, no human would declare friendship with Sweeden and in sp games you need some luck and stay small to DoF enough AIs to make it worth.

Of course there is a bit of a limitation that there still need to be improvements to pillage. Yes, in ideal circumstances you can have one unit attack and pillage 6 times. The second unit on the same front won't be able to do that because all the improvements have already pillaged by the first unit.

-2 PoC - What good is a second belief if I can't manage to get the first? Byzantines are just a civ with no synergy between their UA and either of the units.

+1 - VF - I don't think should be eliminated so early. Especially when there are some much weaker UA's remaining.

Nobel Prize makes Sweden a war machine. Grab some allies (like, half the civs) and create enemies (the other half). Warring with the enemies generate great generals and great admirals, which you should give to city-states. After a while, you will start generating a lot of GGs and GAs (+10% per friendship, lets say you have 3 = 30% more), giving you some strategically positioned alliances with city-states of your choice. Once everybody starts to hate you, forget about the +10% generation and start warring your allies too = more GGs = more alliances. It would end in a military or diplomatic victory.

About Druidic Lore... I hate it. I like it that you can found a pantheon early, and the religion will come early as well, but come on, compare it to UAs like Phoenician Herritage or Father Governs Children. Seriously, +1 or 2 FPT? Nice, but it becomes lackluster or I just can't play the celts.

Ooh. Never done one of these before... I'm going for the ones that are the most to fun to play rather than what is necessarily the best... however, for it to be fun to play, it obviously needs to be useful - if you see what I mean.

Sacrificial Captives 22 (+1) - Maybe not the most useful, but defo the most fun. Race through your first policy - especially if its Honour. There's something very satisfying about killing an enemy Brute with your Jaguar and getting awarded 25 health, 5 XP, 12 culture AND 6 gold.
