The advantage Babylon has over Poland is that there are no social policies that give you an academy when you hit writing :)

Between England and Indonesia, on an island map I would rather have Indonesia's UA.

Bye Bye Egypt. Wonderspam isn't useful on higher difficulties.
Maya's "free" great people is still fairly nice, even if only for the first one being sooner than you'd usually have one.

Songhai - River Warlord - 10 - Great for when you have to attack an enemy across a massive ocean, as a couple submarines or destroyers can ruin half your invasion force before you have a chance to destroy them with your own. Also the extra gold from pillaging cities is nice.
Spain - Seven Cities of Gold - 12
Sweden - Nobel Prize - 24
The Aztecs - Sacrificial Captives - 18 - Dependent on the fact that you are killing units, I don't find this very good because you're probably better off improving culture through CS, ruins, or great artists.

Carnival is absolutely fabulous for a cultural victory. It makes cultural victories 10x easier.

The Mayan Long Count isn't really all that great. Receive a free Great Person every 394 years once. Not cool if you're going to play way beyond the future.

Siam is my go-to civ for culture wins, as well as when I go up a level, and it's specifically the UA that makes me do this. Boosted CS culture and faith really helps.

Arabia is the opposite. Awesome UB and UU, middling UA. Maybe I'm biased though, as I liked the old UA.

Arabia - Ships of the Desert - 0 I don't know either, you can build more planes, ships and tanks I guess, oh and religious spread is easier but the caravan thing gets pretty useless after compass.
Assyria - Treasures of Nineveh - 20 I just love this one. It enables you to spend less effort on beakers and more on troops. It's just fun warmongering.

Post #227 removed the Inca from the list for some reason :nono:
Re-adding them.

Inca is great. Free roads, half price railroads on hills.
Normal movement on hills.
It's just fantastic.

Spain is great...if you first find that natural wonder.
It's a gamble.
And in MP, it's a totally OP civ if that person can find one natural wonder first...
Needs to be more balanced somehow...

Counting Fierro's vote. Also, remember some of us are doing +2/-4 now (it was agreed upon as a new system halfway through.), so feel free to vote that way if you want your votes to count for more.
