Well said! And on that note its been over 24 hours since my last vote, I'll vote again (splitting my vote, of course, as is the custom/tradition I seem to be sticking to)

    America - Manifest Destiny - 11
Arabia - Ships of the Desert - 21
    Assyria - Treasures of Nineveh - 21
    Austria - Diplomatic Marriage - 17
    Babylon - Ingenuity - 21
    Brazil - Carnival - 20
    Byzantium - Patriarchate of Constantinople - 22
    Carthage - Phoenician Heritage - 20
    China - Art of War - 20
    Denmark - Viking Fury - 14
Egypt - Monument Builders - 18 (+1) Honestly, I'm not seeing what's so bad about this UA. Wonders are so powerful and playing as Egypt cuts out much of the need for GE wonder rushing. (Well, maybe not need per se...) I've been able to build wonders early on in the game as Egypt in as little as 9 turns, and I'm sure it could be a whole lot less!
    England - Sun Never Sets - 20
    Ethiopia - Spirit of Adwa - 16
    France - City of Light - 17
    Germany - Furor Teutonicus - 17
    Greece - Hellenic League - 20
India - Population Growth - 9 (-1) On impulse I just have to expand. Unfortunately, India offers dire consequences for the way I like to play Civ5 - wide.
    Indonesia - Spice Islanders - 21
    Japan - Bushido - 16
Korea - Scholars of the Jade Hall - 21
    Mongolia - Mongol Terror - 11

Spain - Seven Cities of Gold - 21
    Sweden - Nobel Prize - 18
    The Aztecs - Sacrificial Captives - 21
    The Celts - Druidic Lore - 20
The Huns - Scourge of God - 9 (-1) "Atilla's Court" isn't even, and never has been, a city. The pasture production aspect also isn't all that great since it's not like the whole map is littered with livestock. Heck, you could get the same effect and more by just building a stable.
The Inca - Great Andean Road - 23
The Iroquois - The Great Warpath - 21
The Maya - The Long Count - 21
The Netherlands - Dutch East India Company - 20
    The Ottomans - Barbary Corsairs - 20
    The Shoshone - Great Expanse - 21
    The Zulus - Iklwa - 21
Venice - Serenissima - 15 (-1) Hasn't changed since I last downvoted it. Yes, it does provide a good cash flow. But one city is not going to be able to provide enough lux OR strategic resources to sustain a good empire IMO, nor can it build enough military units in time to wage any good war.

Venice - Serenissima - 16 This is an amazing civ in BNW! Take tradition and send a few food trade routes to Venice to get it to blossom in to a huge city, then get a military by puppeting city states. On higher difficulties city states will have huge militaries in the mid and late game. Venice can be the best city in the world if you play this right, and your huge amount of money can do anything you want it to.

The Aztecs - Sacrificial Captives - 22 Still one of my favorite UAs. They're the only civ that truly benefits from endless war slaughtering the hordes of units deity AI will throw at you.

Venice - Serenissima - 13 Too map dependent for me. My first attempt was on continents plus, somehow I managed to be the only city (both CS and Civ alike) on the entire east coast of the continent. More than half the game was gone before I could get even one sea route out of Venice. So for more than half the game my entire military was a very long way from my capital protecting routes and hunting barbs, if I had any warmongering neighbors I would have been smoked early but I was lucky enough to only share the continent with Siam, Byzantium and Brazil. I hated that game but I kept seeing rave reviews so I thought I'd try them again. In my second attempt no CSs had iron (weird right? but I guess it can happen), Venice had no iron but there was Iron just out of Venice's reach. I know iron isn't necessary all the time but to get locked out of frigates as a naval civ is just frustrating and it's hard to depend solely on fickle AI for a strategic. Both games the problems I ran into could have been easily solved with one settler of my own. I admit in both cases it got better in the second half of the game but then it just got mind numbingly boring because I could buy anything. Very frustrating beginning, complete boredom in the end, where's the fun?

I feel like this is going to come down to Babylon, Korea, and Poland. And as much as I love Poland's UA, science is just so powerful. Babylon's early academy catapults you out of the stone age so fast and delivers the extra scientists you need to lollerskate to your VC of choice after Research Labs. If the Scientist bulb is nerfed and the Atomic/Info eras exist in a meaningful way, I think Korea would pull ahead. But, for now, my vote is for Babylon.

As for the Mongols, even if I'm going for Domination it is very rare that I want to take out a city state. Much more useful to ally them or pay your next target to take one out and liberate it.

Bushido deserves infamy for poorly representing the incredibly interesting and unique Japanese culture just as much as for being bad.

I love this ability because so long as you get key wonders like Chitchen Itza or the Taj Mahal it makes Persia an all purpose civ that can basically do what it wants.

Denmark - Viking Fury - 11 This is a very meh ability. This civ is good at pillaging costal lands and running, but as a strategy, that just isn't good enough to warrant a spot as a good civ. They need some bonuses like receiving double gold from pillaging or something to that effect.

Venice - Serenissima - 14 Venice's UA is their civ. Sorry Great Galleas, you aren't the reason I'm going to play as Venice. I think Venice is one of the stronger civs in the game (like top 10ish), so their UA must be pretty good for that to happen.

Rome - The Glory of Rome - 17 Odd to vote this one down but the new German UB is going to overshadow this UA in the same way the Bazaar overshadows the Netherlands and the Shoshone's overshadows America's

The early Academy from Bablyon causes you to speed through those early techs so fast it feels like cheating.

If you are attacking city states with Keshiks do you even need a combat bonus?

Pedro gets points for having a UA that directly relates to a victory condition, and helps him win faster.

This is totally outdone by the Great Andean Road. Why pay nothing for roads in spotty and sparse and transient forest tiles, when you can pay nothing for roads in permanent hills and half everywhere else? I don't know why anybody hasn't voted it down yet.

Going to go ahead and wipe out Mongol Terror. Killing city-states is almost never a good idea. Pretty sure the UA is like this just because Mongolia is already overpowered with the Keshik/Khan combo so it would be dumb if they had an overly useful UA as well.

Since that leaves me with an extra - point I'm also going to knock off Population Growth. It is no help in going tall and it only helps in going wide after the point that the AI has already gobbled up all the good city sites. The worst UA in the game for the worst civ in the game.

I'll give my up vote to Nobel Prize. It's a grossly underrated UA that synergizes will with conquest; the GP's that you're going to have spares of are generals and admirals, so being able to get a free ally out of these is just fantastic.

    Upvoting Babylon for science.

Ethiopia's UA is about staying tall and safe (or helping out against your first target in a domination play). However, you can stay safe a lot easier by bribing the warmongers to fight each other.

Once you get steam your embarked units have 5mp and they go by that movement when disembarking meaning you get to move your infantry, ranged and siege equip up to 4mp and not their normal 2.
