Assyria: Treasures of Nineveh - 14
Babylon: Ingenuity - 43+1 = 44. A free GS at the start of the game can often double your bpt, and then 50% GS means that end-game you can bulb your way to a science victory quickly. My favourite UA!

On Huge maps, which I usually play on Single Player, the sheer Great Person generation you can get with Sweden is phenomenal. With 16 players, it's not too difficult to get about 8 friends or so, which is basically 1.5x the Babylon bonus, but you get it for GWAMs as well! Makes either a Science or Cultural Victory pretty straightforward if you can stay on good terms with everyone. Nobel Prize is also fine if you happen to get a Great Person you don't need, eg from the Patronage finisher or Brandenburg Gate or something similar.

Assyria's ability just tends to pigeonhole you down a certain route. The only time I've seen it be used effectively was in a recent multiplayer match, where I got backstabbed by the Assyrians with nukes in the late game, and they mopped up my six cities to skyrocket their techs and secure a Science victory. It's a really difficult ability to abuse properly, and the rewards aren't fantastic if you manage to do this.

@Vibe96, why is Persia's golden age ability worse than wayfinding? Wayfinding will give you early game ruins and meet the other civs early. Achaemenid Legacy allows pretty much massive golden ages with really useful benefits. If you can get some key wonders and get them going for ~15 turns, you get a really nice benefit. It's by no means great, more of a mid-tier ability, but better than Wayfinding!

You say that, but a lot of people keep saying that it is worth it, and that Sweden is both powerful and fun to play as. Am going to try them next.

You only need 1 or 2 great generals aswell (even with Hakkapelitta's) - and you should be generating a lot of them.

Great prophets aren't that helpful after a while.

Great merchants worth gifting? Not so sure - if you don't need the money 90 influence is great - but you get how much from establishing a trade route anyway?

I don't think I'd ever gift a great artist/great musician (unless I had no slots left)/Great scientist/Great engineer.

Great merchants would almost never be worth gifting as Sweden. You could do the mission and gift some of the gold and get 90 or more influence, depending on era. On the other hand I've played games where I've gone honor and gifted the free general to a religious CS. It's basically a free religion and you usually don't get much use out of a general that early anyway.

Polynesia: Wayfinding - 0 - Dead and gone. It got slight buff with BNW and world congress, but is still the worst one left. On Pangaea you won't even notice whole UA, and that's what makes it worse than the rest.
Portugal: Mare Clausum - 24
Russia: Siberian Riches - 19
Siam: Father Governs Children - 32 - Got nerfed a bit with consulates nerf, but it still rules. So much extra stuff from CS's.

Portugal: Mare Clausum - 26 It's underrated, and like Morocco, is one of those ones which looks bad on paper but is actually pretty tough in-game. It's also somewhat less situational than Morocco.
Russia: Siberian Riches - 15 The inverse; looks good on paper, bad in reality. It's geared for a domination victory, which limits the efficacy of half of its UA (being solely valid in the late game), and the other half is pretty useless, and more of a sweetener. As a civ overall, it isn't terrible (the Krepost in particular is good), but the UA alone isn't great.

Where is Arabia? Surely it didn't get knocked off this early. That throws the entire validity of the system into doubt!

Wayfinding is OP on tiny islands, have you ever played it? For the persians, I never really liked it. I think it's pretty hard to get golden ages since my happiness is usually between 8-0. Also i dot't like to sync my warring with natural golden ages. Overally the ability seems pretty lame, and if I want to go dom, i would rather have germany or other.

This is a UA thread, not a civ thread. Arabia has the third best UB in the game, and an easy top 4 UU, but it's UA is actually not all that great in my opinion. I at least would much rather have most of the other UAs before this one.

It was knocked out a little while ago, but I am curious about what makes it good. I asked that question a couple times and didn't really get a satisfactory answer. Arabia is an awesome civ, but I don't really like its ability.

Russia: Siberian Riches - 11 Used to be a great UA in vanilla but both knights and swordsmen just aren't what they used to be which really kills this UA. Still a good production UA though but that's about it.
Siam: Father Governs Children - 32
Sweden: Nobel Prize - 10 It's almost a shame this is as low as it is. Under the right conditions you can get better bonus from this than Babylon's bonus and with the culture game it's one of the few civs that can produce more works than other civs. It just lacks synergy with the double UU setup but still a great UA.

Carthage: Phoenician Heritage - 31 - This is the perfect UA for an all-out naval trading civ. The bonus cash you get from trade routes right away is amazing. I like it.
China: Art of War - 7 - I usually get enough great generals without this UA.
