Unit requests thread

Hi,

I'm looking for an oxcart with the great engineer effect.:)
The unit should bring production to other cities, like the caravans of civ2. I think the oxcart from the charlemange scenario is a perfect model for this. But I would like to see some effect when its sacrified.

It's just a quick combination of the first fidget animation with the modern engineer effect. I only got the no_fx mesh to work with this, but I hope that's sufficient. If you want to use this unit, you'll have to remove the <SHADERNIF> entry in the .xml file. Alternatively you can copy the SupplyTrain.nif file and rename it SupplyTrain_FX.nif.

I'm looking for two units (hopes they already exists and you just need to give me a hint where to find it)

1. A unit riding an elk (weapon doesn't matter, axe, sword, bow, crossbow or spear are all good)
2. Ravens (as replacement for the falcon/eagle of the hunter in FfH2)
 
thanks, got it in mind but didn't find it :D an elk would be much better but for now the deer rider suffices ;)

Ravens/crows anyone? :)

No problem. :)

I used two programs for this:

NifSkope (Tutorial: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=305606)
KonverterFM (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=263215)

With the first one I modified the fidget animation to play the Engineer effect. The entries in the NiTextKeyExtraData Block had to be modified for this. Further I had to add the EFFECT_GREATPEOPLE_BIRTH_ENGINEER and the EFFECT_ENGINEER_GEARS node to the .nif files 'MD NonAccum' Node.
With the KonverterFM program I added the entry for the activation animation to the .kfm file, otherwise the unit still wouldn't do the existing animation.
And that's really all I did. I know that it sound rather cryptic, but it makes a bit more sense if one knows the programs (I hope ;)). It always helps to look first at units that already do the stuff you want for your unit and then modify your unit accordingly.
 
I am working on a somewhat ambitious project for my mod, and I am sure it will be worthwhile to other modders as well. I am trying to create some ethnic Great People and I would like help on some of the animations specifically, but just help in general. If anyone wants to help me out with this please PM me or reply here.
 
can some one make a Medieval siege ladder for my mod and maybe a battering ram.
