Hey everyone, as per requested, here’s the tutorial on not only getting units to use other units’ animations in addition to their own, but also to have various weapons and accessories visible in some animations, while invisible in others.

An example of this that’s already in the game is the Longbowman. During most of his animations, his melee weapon – a staff – is invisible to the player, while his ranged weapon – the longbow – is visible. Yes, the third Marine would be perfect (althought I would prefer the "desert"-skin from my right picture for the weapon). Is this an existing set?
I have looked some "Marines" Sets, and also the "Afreaks", but did not see this unit.

I have one last request: An Anti-Drone-Infantry.
I am not sure, which kind of weapon this is, but images like this are always used to show some kind of drone defense:

I think it is not a manpad to shoot drones down, but rather a jammer to jam the electronics and let them crash by this way. If anyone knows more about this, feel free to share this knowledge. In any case, this is the "weapon" the Anti-Drone-Infantry should be equiped with.

Realistically I wouldn't bother making it a separate unit, instead just create an Anti-Drone promotion. This weapon is useless against any other weapon type and probably not as mass produced as regular guns, so I think these are only carried by a relatively few soldiers in a larger group of regular infantry. At least they would need to be escorted just like Settlers and Workers.

I understand your position, and if no one wants to do this unit, maybe I will do so.

Two points from my side about this:
- with a promotion I cannot strengthen a unit against one UNITCLASS only, I would have to define a new UNITCOMBAT. A unit could have bonusses against one unit only
- The Manpad of the SAM-Infantry is also useless agains ground units. Therefor this unit has a personal defense weapon which is used for combat. If the anti-drone-unit is based on SAM-Infantry.kfm, it would fight the same way against normal units.

In the end, it is decided by the creators. If no one makes this weapon, because no one sees a sense in it, I would not use this unit. In facts, from all open requests it is not the most important for me.

Valid points. Of course, I didn't want to discourage anyone to doing it, just wanted to say that you MAY want to focus your efforts elsewhere. Or not. It's up you.
After all it is a unit just as valid as a Dwarf on a Monowheel or an Infantry with an Elephant head

Can anyone provide me with dogs or bred war dogs nif model? I can't find it in any posted resource, or hidden in a mod patch. I want it for to make animated bonus resource (like the beavers) for dogs.

I think, Pie_at has dogs in his mod, maybe you can ask him.

That is actually why i want to do it, because the dog bonus nif he uses isn't animated.

I think I have postet too many requests during the last half year to get them all fulfilled. I therefor try to priorize my request

1) Most wanted for my current version
V2 Carriage, Flying Elephant

2) Very important unit request
Neubaufahrzeug, Mark IX APC

3) Wanted
Submarine Monitor/Cruiser (alternativ modell to the existing one), Skyranger

4) Nice to have
Holt Artillery tractor, Mechanical Mule & Faun Kraka

5) Least important (but still requested)
Anti Drone Infantry, Machine Granade launcher (the heavy one - the handheld I got already)

That is actually why i want to do it, because the dog bonus nif he uses isn't animated.

I withdraw request for dogs. I found several dogs using pakbuild on some big mods.
