OK. I went ahead and completed the unit I featured in the thread "Why even bother". I don't think it turned out half bad so I may make another using the British Sterling SMG.

Indian Sikh Infantry circa 1950s-1970s. Perfect unit for India/Pakistan conflicts. Can also be used as a WWII unit since the Sterling will look a bit like a Sten gun in game.

Next unit in the Sterling series, a generic Jungle Fighter. Ready for jungle combat (circa 1950s - 1970s) with boonie hat and jungle fatigues. He could be British, American, ANZAC, Latin American or a mercenary in Africa. Ready to fight in the Jungles of South East Asia, Africa, South America or the South Pacific.

Another beautiful unit you made Gary. :) And if we look to the Gif-animation, I have to say: The unit has even a beard! :D The beard can at least be seen in the death animation.

In case anyone wants a shorter name he could be called "Sikh Jawan" - jawan = "soldier".

Or by the lower ranks in the Indian Army:
Sepoy/Sowar (Private); Sowar is for cav. units.
Naik (Corporal)
Havildar (Sergeant); Daffadar is cav. equivalent.

So, for example, the unit could be "Sikh Havildar".

Thank you all. It felt good to make a unit. I enjoy making units. Sometimes it gets a little discouraging to have so many great props that won't show up in game but at least there's the large Civpedia icon to look at. :)

Bah, even if it doesn't show, we know you made it nice, and more importantly you know it.

Nice unit, Thanks Gary!

A question about Your previous plans: Do You need more info about WWII Russians? Your PPSh previews were wonderful! Or You stop this project?

PPSh is on the backburner at the moment. I'll try to fit it in at a future date. I need to make some changes to the unit before I can start rendering. I think I'm fine with info on WWII Russians. I still have all those pics in my WIP thread to work from.
