Unrestricted Leader Awesome Combos!!!

Playing Darius of HRE now. Man having 2 shrines and seeing +50 GP at 100% Research feels nice. Even with a nice size colonial empire and a standing army ready to rip through my backwards opponents I'm still going strong at 100%. Definetly need to play a higher difficulty if you play a really well synergized leader like this.

Anyone tried an Expansive/Industrious (Bismarck) of India? +25% production on fastworkers and once those fastworkers are out you can move to a Forest tile and chop it on the same turn to pump out those wonders even quicker...

I haven't tried it but it sounded like a good idea lol...

Ragnar of HRE comes to mind for me. Massive expansion potential with the UB, and an unmatched UU in the medieval ages with even more oomph than usual, which needs nothing but siege and a couple xbow-counter units. Can you pay for this expansion? You certainly can with the HRE.

Similar power shows up when punting gilgamesh out of his empire...vultures and ziggs with somebody like ragnar is really scary because you can afford what would normally be gross overexpansion.

Pascal of India is even better I think

Darius of HRE is ridiculous: Fin+Org+cheap Rathaus. Can you say REX.

Boudica of Rome: That oh so wrong combo from a historical POV but nearly unstoppable in the Ancient era if you have iron.

Cyrus (char/imp) of mongolia is good fun for a powerful cavalry. ger + char + imp = hardcore mounted troops.

tokugawa of native America

AGG/PRO plus extra XP for totem pole/Barracks

Great for archer(defence) or crossbow(attack).

The problem is, that at the time you get crossbows, you propably already have calendar which obsoletes totem pole.

Could work if you get machinery from oracle.

In BTS monuments obsolete with astronomy.

aggressive does not help archery units although it does help gunpowder units. BUT totem pole does not help gunpowder units.

On the other hand, I could have loads of fun with aggressive Dog Soldiers . . .

Churchill of Native America

Hear that? It's the frustration of Warmongers everywhere.

Churchill of China was fun and effective.

Tokugawa of the Ottoman Empire was amazing, but eventually you have to move up to rifles. I had better luck with England.

I want to try Kublia Khan with Ethiopia. Creative with the Stele and Aggressive with the Oromo Warrior reeks of synergy.

Boudica of Sumeria is nasty early, but all you have to show for it is a larger, more stable empire when you get Maces.

Cyrus of Mongolia was also fun, but if you don't get horses, it seems wasted.

I was just thinking that Organized Aztecs would be interesting. Rush the courthouse and then using slavery, rush your units or buildings.

For that matter, Hammurabi of the Zulu....Agressive for fast Ikhanda and Organized for fast courthouses.
