[UXP] Legends of Revolutions

Here also, one can play only in English. Well… :undecide:
I start to test it with Private-Maps, but I realize at once that they comprise a number of players impressing which generates an intolerable heaviness! It's a pity that so much of preparatory work cannot benefit players… fairly equipped!
After my disappointment with the MOD Wolfshanze (of which it takes some elements) I fear the worst… But I start an ordinary game with 6 players and - oh wonder! - all seems to function correctly.
Moreover this MOD appears to me very well thought in several fields and the new troops (I am only about the year 1000) are superb ! This richness promises good hours…

Good to see you enjoying the mod. We have gone to great lengths to make sure everyone can play the mod and with stability.

As far as the different laguages go, I dont thing anyone has volunteered to translate French yet. So until then the french part will be incomplete.

I tried installing the new version (0.9.7) and it told me it was missing something. The message was in Spanish, so I got the gist of it. It said I need permission to install it, but it was the manufacturer's permission. Why is it doing this? I'm going to download the file again and see what happens.

Most likely it's a vista permissions issue. Try launching the installer with admin rights and see if that works.

Just posting to report a weird occurance. When I was playing as Poland in the medieval age, some units would appear to be invisible. Archers and Axemen, specifically. But not all of them, just certain ones. Anyway, when I moved them out of a city to destroy marauding barbarians, they would remain invisible but then the men who made up the unit would run in from off my view and kill the enemy unit. Is this because I have quick combat on? Otherwise, I don't know why it would just skip to me killing the enemy and not show the combat animations. Thanks, and don't mind me if this is a known issue.

Units running from off screen is an issue with vanilla civ. Check the funny screenshots thread and you'll see it littered with screens of units running on water and what not.

A new version 0.9.7a was released today, it's an important release, as it fixes a critical bug found in the LSystem files, reported yesterday (if you notice a critical bug, please report it, so I can squash it, I try to be fast on critical issues if they are found). This bug though has to be pretty rare though, since it was in 0.9.6c, and never saw it reported. Simply download the current version, and reinstall to update.

LoR: 0.9.7a changelog
  • Fixed rare critical bug reported in LSystem files (full version only, does not effect light)
  • Fixed longstanding link issue with Legends Civilopedia Section
  • Added new functionality to civilopedia to list mulitple civs for a leader

Just a warning I did something wrong when building the last release. Must have swapped an art defines file or something because 0.9.7a is all sorts of screwed up and is totally unstable. I'm going to try to track down my error and get a fix out as soon as possible, but unfortunately with how long it takes to get things uploaded, and track down and fix bugs this may take a day or two, and a few hours at the very least.

I am having problems runing this mod.
I am using BTS 3.17 and version 0.9.2x that is compatable with it, but when I try to play the mod it freezes up when I start the game during the initialisation fase and I get this message:

I can't support the old versions, sorry. I have no idea what could cause that. Are you sure you're not updated to 3.19? BtS might have automatically updated.

No way, I purpusfully did not update becouse of some mods I am working on.
An interesting thing that I just found out is that I am having the exact same problem with wolfhanze and wolfhanze revolutions so I will ask there.

Then you're not updated to 3.17

I most certanly am.

It's lying to you. If 3.17 mods are crashing, you're not updated. This is almost always caused by the automatic updater failing, and it replaces the text fields for it's version #, but then never updates the actual files; this is actually a pretty common problem.

Completely imposible, I updated to 3.17 as soon as it came out, and have plaid mods like FFH2 all the time.

In fact I am working on a modification for the 3.17 version of FFH2 at this time and that is the reason why I have not updated to 3.19.

If it was not for that I would have thought about a bad patch too.

Furthermore, the mod starts up normaly but when I start a game and click play it starts up initialising and dies.

Been playing the newest version, love it, but I have a question...

I remember playing the previous version and having advanced bombing options on. Bombing buildings worked before, but now I'm playing on this version and for some reason, after 150+ building bombing runs, I've killed about 50 - 60 population in various cities and destroyed no buildings.

Bug? Am I missing something? Thanks.

This issue is for real. I remember having played this very mod with that option on (I can´t remember which release). I used to destroy every building in a city, but now I only occasionally kill civilians, and no buildings at all.

I also want to report an issue with the unit naming mod. All types of units can be named individually, which I really like, specially with ships. However, not all classes (or types) of units have an obvious text input. Only caravels (and the Bismarck) are named in the "naval" text input. All others are named in the upper text input, which I think is DEFAULT.

But this mods rules!

A major fix is out for LoR 0.9.7, so LoR 0.9.7b is released, simply redownload and install to update.

LoR: 0.9.7b
  • Fixed broken Spanish Royal Galleon model (critical art bug on some video cards)
  • Added link to FAQ homepage when mod installs, so users can quickly check out LoR's homepage
  • Removed AI free techs for hard difficulty levels when Start as Minors selected (AI's will start with defensive archer to guard against cheese rush on high difficulty)

I have found some strange images in the Civilopedia:

Yeah, those have been fixed. Always a bug or two found in the first week of a new release. Just redownload 0.9.7b and install and those will be fixed. The one with the royal galleon actually crashes some systems, including mine.

 good thing I saw those :) I do seem to have a problem where when creating scenarios with WorldBuilder, the game crashes :( The easy solution there is: leave the scenarios to the pros ;)
