I think this is one for Hydro.

The housing you have in the last image (a bit before it disappeared) goes obsolete at TECH_CIVIL_ENGINEERING, and requires bricks.

So:

1) Have you researched civil engineering? If so the NEXT era's housing requires Electricity. I would hope that it's impossible to get civil engineering without electricity, but there is no direct dependency and I haven't checked the tree.

2) Do you have access to bricks? If not have you recently lost access to bricks somehow?

@Hydro - any changes in anything related to this in recent asset changes??

yes, we have civil engineering, yes we have bricks, and electricity... and yes, we lost our brick mason buildings for some reason. this is rather odd

@Hydro - this seems wrong somewhere - basically the people respond to the discovery of civil engineering by demolishing their homes in a fit of pique, and all going homeless if any of the above are missing!

Perhaps the previous era housing needs to have a bit longer before it goes obsolete (or maybe a lot longer)...?

well, yeah. but why are they being required if we don't even have electricity? haven't built any power plants, so those housing shouldn't be available if they're "tech_electricity"

The TECH_ELECTRICITY requirement is just knowledge of the tech, no presence of power in the city.

We need Hydro to comment on this - I don't think it's a bug per se, so much as an issue with the evolution of the pre-reqs, which needs some tweaking in the XML.
 
You really need the patch, if I remember correctly it fixes some big problems.

Fyi SVN = beta version. Many people use it because after the initial time taken to do the download updates are quick. It suffers from all the same problems of all betas in it is not stable but things are fixed there faster than they are in the release cycle.

alright i downloaded the patch, and now it will play. is there anyway to get rid of this annoying BuG error though? it constantly keeps going, and it covers about half the screen example: BuG Error C:\Program Files (x86)\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\c2c\revolution

keep getting minor civs which should definitely not be minor. in this pic, you can see israel just spawned a vassal civ, a minor state, which we are not at war with, which is researching guilds, so certainly shouldn't be minor.

and congo is still around as a minor, training canal systems.

Just a dumb question -this game was 'start as minors' I presume?

You should not be getting any BUG errors. If you are it could be an access issue, if you are running Win 7 it does not.

1) rename "...Mods\c2c" to "...Mods\caveman2ccosmos"
2) allow write access to the folder.

Edit - I can't see the hole in the REV Python that is causing this. Someone with better knowledge of the REV code should probably take a look (AIAndy??)

I have little knowledge of the REV code but I can look into it tomorrow evening.

ah I get it. maybe just require the tech, then, and simply ignore any other requirements.
 
Servant's guild requires 7 servant's quarters. Servants quarters can only be build in city with Palace, Forbidden Palace, or Versailles. Thus, Servant's Guild is unbuildable.

The Servant's Guild requires 5 servant's quarters, but you can still only build at most 3, so the Servant's guild is still unavailable.
 
is there any particular reason this thing exists as a world wonder? or a building at all? if my nation can't handle building a tattoo parlor it surely can't handle building this lol

The REV penalty for that should be smaller, but that seems like a good enough (read, it's unique) WW for the Renaissance Era. It's Vokarya's Wonder, so ask him about changing it.

not interested in changing it, it's simply one of the buildings i'll never build. like a vaccine lab... +20 disease to your city, yea right.

Woah, I'll bet that is a typo. Vaccines have a net negative effect on disease, even if there is a small risk of infection.
