v19 bugs and crashes

Cant send a copy of it:sad:, because i added a new civ in my mod, and was testing it out. Never had it before this last SVN ???

Guess i will just have to revert back to the older SVN to get it working correctly again.

OK here's is what i did, i reverted each one of what you changed, back to the original you had before, and found out after loading a few times, it ALL stems from the SubdueAnimals.py, so that is your game breaker there.

Well it all disappeared when i took the 11-15 copy of the SubdueAnimals.py and replaced it with the new one, and poof the "laser":scan: stuff disappeared.

I mean once i replaced it, it was just like new again, put back the new py and its back again, so it has to be in the py someplace.

I have had NO problem(s) since??

Also i like the new Big Game Hunter, nice touch.;)

EDIT: Do you want me to do a line by line comparison and see where it happens, or do you just want to handle your py stuff yourself?

EDIT EDIT: Yeah your correct, i got the line back even with the old py, but i never had it before the new changes from the SVN you submitted this time at least with the older py i only get one line now, rather than HUGE "laser" lights and lines everywhere.pic 2
P.S> it only does it with the animal units.:crazyeye::confused: Plus they all to stem around the Viper unit(s)??
 
Okay so I just installed and was able to do a Play Now! for duel size. Then, every game afterward gets a CTD while loading, immediately after "Initializing Graphics" displays. I have tried a dozen permutations of Play Now and Custom games with various sizes and options turned on/off. Nada. Any ideas?

Computer specs please. Especially video card Ram and shader version.

I don't recall if you were able to play vanilla v19 without the .dll Patch?

In game options for Graphics what level is it set on?

A few minor glitches (if not already posted):

SR-71 Blackbird has combat strength of 1
Modern Destroyer upgrades to Modern Frigate (the latter has combat strenth of 32)
Modern Mine does not work on new resources jade/saphire/ruby/diamond

Now that you included a Big Game Hunter (BGH)(str 26) i believe you need to upgrade the upgrade also, currently it "down"grades to Sniper(str 20)?

EDIT: Is the Haast supposed to be that "large?"
 
For some reason my Worker cannot build Railroads or Electric Railroads, or explore ancient relics either. None of those actions show up in the Pedia and was unable to build rails even though I had coal, iron and steel.

I was looking at the fixed "beta version" (SVN) so if you were reporting it on the last download versio then it has been fixed, ;)

Yes I know and yes it is about as big as the Moa its prey. BTW did you notice that for the new animals the pidea has text describing the animals under background?
 
The XML says it should. I'll check for silly spelling errors after breakfast. ;)

Got the v19 right away after it was out, maybe it wasn't fixed at that point..

I managed to make it work though by placing on bottom of NewRes_CIV4ImprovementInfos.xml an extra <ImprovementInfo> section for IMPROVEMENT_MODERN_MINE.
 
The new female missionaries look great! Except these 2... On SVN1400 btw.

PS: The new menu theme is... well, different to say the least. Going back to good old baba yetu again :P

Had a CTD, then another 2 turns after that...minidump was overwritten on the first one i think.
They seemed unconnected, but i felt i should add it considering I played 10 hours the day before with no CTDS.

using vanilla v19, with the DLL AIandy made to auto minidumps. :nuke:
 
So... I don't know if this effects all hero units, but Leonidas - 300 Spartans can be used as an android and a celebrity in a city. I assume this is a glitch, because how can I have an android in 1980 BC? :P
 
This minidump is from a SVN version 13xx. My 1st SVN d/l. Happened yesterday while scrolling across map.

Edit: Mini from today. Over wrote the 1st one. :p

XP, Nvidia GeForce 9600GT, 512Mb. Don't know where to find shader version. Graphics settings are whatever it defaulted to.

Anyway why would you jump to system configuration compatibility problems? Is that the most likely problem other people have had?

The card is a good card "if overclocked." An a review said the shader is good also, so no problems there.

XP? What size and Ghz, how old?

Best thing to do if you need info on your system is:

Click on the start button, where the search part is, type in dxdiag, click on it, it might take a minute but it will then give you all kinds of info.

You have the same graphics card as me and I am running C2C mostly fine. Do you have 3MB memory and if so do you have the 3GB switch on? I have XP (32-bit) and can't run C2C without it. If you do then the hardware is not the problem.

I have not had chance to look at the audio stuff. AS3D_SEA_SERPENT is probably in subdue animals. AS2D_BUILD_WILDERNESS is part of the new stuff from Modifida4 that I added yesterday. Note the techs on those improvements still need looking at.

I'll look t the partisan one now.
 
Back home at my computer now so I can start investigating all those minidumps.

Both of these happen in Direct3d so there is likely a bad 3d model around.
