OK whom ever did this SVN upload needs to check their ArtDefines again, closely, the Black Terrain is back:

I started a new game (SVN 2761), and I'm getting the WfoC bug again. I also noticed that even though I didn't research naturopathy, shamanism, or sacrifice cult first, whoever did didn't found the religion right away with their free prophet.

Once again, it's playing through fine for me (using latest SVN). I am wondering if we have some significant options set differently (player options, or possibly BUG options). Do you have 'stack attack' selected, or anything like that?

The not founding thing is deliberate (though possibly mis-guided). AIs reserve their first GP for their own favorite religion once they get the necessary tech. However, IMO it's mis-guided unless said necessary tech is at least somewhat close (say no more than one era away). Anyway, it's not a bug, it's a deliberate part of Thunderbrd's new code for DP.

Edit - do you have a stack limit set?

Edit 2 - the save WAS useful however, as it demonstrated an AI bug with sea workers (see SVN thread shortly)
 
I downloaded the mod, and unzipped it, and every time I try to load the mod at the Init XML uncached section it stops responding and never restarts again. Any ideas to fix it?

Nevermind, problem solved
 
Another stack pathing problem. It is going to take te stack 5 more turns to get to where I want it, even though it could have gotten there in 2 if it had stayed on the roads.

the stack started on the mine south of Byblos and is going to the coastal diamond mine to the north east of Heliopolis.

That's it! I had stack limit set to ten. Turning it off let me continue. The unit AI must get stuck in a loop if it can't path to a normally valid plot or something. The bug only really shows up once you get to the ancient era because there must need to be a critical mass of units. I've only started trying it out recently, has it always had this bug?

Yes. The AI does not understand stack limits. Someone needs to code it.:p

It's a very big job. Needs entirely new city attack strategy code as part of it. At least 3 or 4 weeks work total. Not going to happen in the foreseeable future I'm afraid.

So, I have discovered this mod on moddb. It sounded really great, so I downloaded it, and put the only folder ( named ' c2c ' ) in the directory ' C:/Programs/Firaxis Games/Sid Meier's Civilization IV/Beyond the Sword/Mods '.
I launched the game, I waited for 3 minutes, and then the game relaunched.
And now, when I launch a game, when I end the first turn, the game crashes, and go back on the desk.
More, when I launch the shortcut ' C2C ', they said ' Mods\Caveman2Cosmos\ is an invalid mod directory, ignoring '.
I read some tutos, so I changed the place of the mod, and puted it in ' My documents\My games\Beyond the Sword\MODS '. But there is the same problem.
If you can help me, thank you.

When you have a problem like that PLS, put a copy of your Savedgames and your minidump (same area as the BtS exe) in a ZIP file and oput it here, thx.

Assuming, of course, that that is where you installed the game. I refuse to install anything in Program Files ( or PFx86) that isn't a "program".;)

Often that means a mapscript is bad. Did you try a different map?

EDIT-Nevermind, I read that wrong. I thought you said it crashed before the first turn.

Your copy of BTS is patched to 3.19 I asume??
 
Yes yes, it's patched to 3.19. But now, I thought : I have only 2GO Ram. Maybe it's because of that ?
I tried many maps, in duel size, changed the civilization etc...
 
I play with an SVN version maybe 3 or 4 days old. When I update to the current SVN and load the attached savegame then I get an "Joao wins a time victory". This is totally wrong because:
  • It is around 9000 BC.
  • Joao is by no means the strongest Civ.
  • Time victory is opted out.

Unfortunately I have to go back to the old SVN to continue playing :cry: ...
 
First off, I absolutely love C2C. It adds so much wonderful content. I've been using version 21 for a long time, and just now got around to upgrading to v23. Unfortunately, I'm getting an annoying crash. It's happened in 3 different games, and I can't get past that point. In the attached save, just end the turn and it will crash.

Just puhsed a fix for this to SVN.

The problem is a bug in handling very fast game speeds (we only support speeds up to Epic officially and recommend no faster than that - certainly we only test on epic and slower), with your game being at Blitz speed!

You'll need to either wait for V24 or move to the SVN version to continue that game. However, I can't guarantee there are not other bugs at that speed, and for sure the game has not been balanced at that speed, so it's not real;ly recommended.

I had just read on the other thread that it was recommended to play at slower speeds, so I was wondering if that was it. I used to play at slower speeds, but I would always get distracted by other games before I finished, so I thought I'd see if I could actually finish a game :D I'll start a new game at a slower speed, but I'd like to use the SVN version. However, I haven't set up an SVN since I got my Garry's Mod mods a long time ago, and I've forgotten how to do it. Is there a readme somewhere that will tell me how to set it up for this?
