So, clearly a bot. All its posts are just partially quoting someone upthread as if it's its own.

But, if you look at its posts using the search feature (link), you see there's a gif being posted that we don't see when we go to its posts (just trust me on that one). Might be worth avoiding those threads for now.

Is there a chance that this is a way to spread a virus? What's the value of making a bot that posts invisible gifs?

Pretty cool idea to leave islands of invisible code (eg a gif or like a gif) in order to have some program then target any site which has the specific lines.

I move to ask CFC to not only ban, but damnatio memoriae all posts of this bot!

I really don't think you can spread viruses just by gif alone. There are variants that incorporate it through some ingeniousness but they always require additional moving parts.

We zap the bots that use tracking gifs as soon as we see them. Please just report the posts when you see them and we'll be able to ban them all the more quickly.
