VertNes-Worlds of Altor.

OOC: I understand.

Hakara is very resentful. But he decides to deal with Takar later- for now, he decides to let it be and focus on winning the victory. He tries not to let the others realise, but he does his best to use Illusion magic to cure the trauma of his torture and the battle.

Also, he puts up more precautions against enemy Divination.

New Battle Plan:
The men seem to be in bad shape, but I recommend to Takar (after I have recovered some Fiezar), that once the soldiers have recovered enough a night attack, on the basis the enemy would not expect it. Rather then using teleportation, it would involve conventional sneaking aided by Illusions (focused before we reach the camp on reducing sight, and when closer on reducing sound).

Barring additional magicians, such a strategy should be sufficent to defeat the enemy.

Other Actions:
(OOC: This is an attempt to make his actions more in-character)

The reason Hakara is tolerating Takar's behaviour is that he is determined to conquer Alvalon- this is an empire he can then usurp. He knows revenge is a dish best served (from a pleasure perspective) cold, as well.

Meanwhile, he makes a plan to kill Takar. After the victory (if it happens), he will memorise the relative posistions of their tents, and (having practed with his sword) teleport Takar at night (when asleep) into his tent. He will then kill him with a strong sword blow to the neck, and send his body back (at the expense of his own unconciousness if necessary).

Great to see my character improve :) Please add 130 (230-100 as rent for a year) Sarai to my equipment as well as the jewel named as 'Siherv' after my mother (Displayed "Siherv (Unique Jewel)", perhaps).

Ragnar Spikewing

I continue my jewelcrafting, but at the same time, I attemp to find the following riltual parts in the city market and at the more 'dark' markets, if any:

Azage tree leaf
Dog skull
A gallon of tar

This will be used for a dark ritual to be cast on Siherv. I have plans with that piece of jewelry... Other ingredients which I should have in my property already (Under ritualist kit):

Knife
Fox blood (0.2 litre)
A candlelight

After all this (Just inform me how many items are available and for how much money), I ask my host whether he could do me a favor. I walk to his house and knock on his door.

@ Lord_Joakim I made it a necklace but it does not need to be one. It can be any kind of jewalary.

A gallon of tar= 1 Daras as you are in a Sea Elf town and well they like boats and need tar to water proof them.

Dog Skull= Nothing why not just kill a local dog?

Azage tree leaf= Need to know more about the plant before it can be priced. Either PM or OOC thread. Would you like me to write about the unique fauna and flora of Altor or not? This would not be mosters but animals and plants.

NWAG

Your recommandation was scorned by all the commanders not just Tarkar. " Foolish mage! You think they will all be asleep! Half of the army will sleep in the day and the other half in the night and they sleep lightly. If we were to attack we would no doubt charge into a thicket of pikes and swords. We may as well charge in the day and sally forth to defeat the enemy."

Lord_Joakim

You find a weak, staving stray and put it out of its misery. Then you pay a vist to the docks and pick up a gallon of tar saying Talor needed to repair a ship. After that you start to wander looking for a shady place were you might be able to find some Azage Tree leaves. Finally after a couple of hours wandering you find the place you are looking and go in. " For you sir 75 Sari, these are hard to get and the high ups now what we tend to use them for," the man, human, winks at you. Evidently not only Zigglers use the Azage Trees' leaves for ritual magic.

Hakara notes this will mean they have less sleep, and decides to wait on events for now.

No they cycle both sides get twelve hours sleep. Pay attention to what I write and this will be the last time NWAG!

Sorry. I'll try to pay more attention.

I doesn't matter but I am going to be less likely to point such things out. So what ya gona do?

Hakara decides not to interfere with strategy yet, divining relevant information on the enemy (when they are going to attack, ecetera), and trying to block enemy divinations. He also tries to determine (roughly) what Avalonian armies exist beside this one (if sufficently few, he could suggest inducing other warlords to invade Avalon).

In training, he focuses primarily on Abjuration magic with as much time as he can get. He hopes he can use it to block any enemy magic-based strategies.

I stared into the fire. Occasionally I would use a small stick to write something on the ground before wiping it out again with a mutter. Beside me, I could feel the chief of Weldenvar and Commander Kavin looking at me expectantly. The spirit which I had sent out as a scout had delivered its report quite a while ago. Since then, I had been busy doing calculations and battle estimations in my head. I wasn’t looking for the way to win that would result in the least amount of casualties, no, I was just looking for a way to win period.

Finally, I looked up, putting on a smile, faking confidence I didn’t have. “Before the battle, twenty-five of our mages are to enchant our warriors’ weapons and armor. As our enemies are primarily mages, they should attempt to try to strengthen the troops ability to withstand magical attacks. This could be the difference between life and death for these troops, so have the mages give everything they got into this task.

The battle will start with our dark spirit allies engaging with the enemy mages and sorcerer, attacking them with their fears brought to life. I doubt this ploy will work against the sorcerer, but it might occupy the mages. Using this distraction, the bulk of our warriors will attack the mages. Meanwhile, a strike force of Commander Kavin and his four men, ten of our mages who excel the most at offensive magic, and a small, elite force of elven warriors will engage the sorcerer.

The nymphs and dryads are to handle the Daluk. I have instructed them on certain plants and herbs that neutralize the Daluk’s acid. They are to call on these herbs and plants, causing them to grow around the Daluk, entrapping them so that they cannot move. Thus neutralized, they are no threat to us and I will later handle them at my convenience. They can then move on to help the assault team against the sorcerer if needed.

That leaves the New One. The spirit bear, one forest spirit, and I will handle him, no offense to anyone present, but more help would only get in the way. The bear and I will weaken the New One. Then, at my signal, the forest spirit will create my binding seal under the New One from flowers, or grass, or whatever is easiest for it. I will use this seal as the foundational rune from which to trap the New One. Once trapped, it will only be a matter of time before I am able to banish it. The bear and forest spirit will stay nearby in order to guard me until I finish banishing the New One.

Finally, fifteen of our mages will act as reserves and healers.”

I stood up, again smiling, projecting a phantom confidence. “With those constructing the gate out of the way, I will be able to inspect the gate to determine the best way for its complete destruction. Then my mission will be complete and I can leave you guys to live in peace. Now get some sleep, you’ll need to be at your best for tomorrow.”

I, however, did not take my own advice. Staring into the fire, I moved my beads nimbly across my fingers. O Untor, Watch over the souls of those who will depart like a shepherd over his sheep. Guide them into eternal bliss….

I have returned after computer failure and losing my password but I am afraid your stats have gone. I will work your stats backwards to recover them but this will take a little while and they may not be identical to before but they will be very close as they are in bands of two and the highest you can get is twenty. I may use this oppotunity to re balence he stats as long as no-one objects to that. I will be going back to school on Wesnesday so expect this to slow down but not stop. Finally expect an update tomorrow so get those posts in!

Cool but what do you want him to do now?

Ahem I decide the terrian and its AL-VAL-ON. I also decide the army you raise and you are only thirty and born far to the south so how did you make all these contacts? NWAG's in a fortess that is all you know you no nothing of the composition of his forces or the Alvalonian forces and you no nothing of the terrain. Please remember some infromation other people know you may not know don't go OOC stay in character please. Sorry for the mini leature Charles but it is for the good of the Nes and so you learn how to RP better.

Ok, after I left at 16. I moved north wandering. Chief Kogan was the same age as me and in his village lead by his dad we hunted in the wilderness.

When I was 21 or so I felt and urge and went to the east. Wandering, hunting, being friendly, being not friendly to enemies. I met him again at about 28, met his son, and arrived in Larthorn.

So there. Old Friend

What is happening to Hakara?

Update later today. Be patient!

"Last Minute" notes:
-If we are victorious this round, Hakara will enact his plan to murder Takar.

After the victory (if it happens), he will memorise the relative posistions of their tents, and (having practiced with his sword) teleport Takar at night (when asleep) into his tent. He will then kill him with a strong sword blow to the neck, and send his body back (at the expense of his own unconciousness if necessary).

I will clarify that the practice was with Hakara's sword.
