VertNes-Worlds of Altor.

O.K- I think I've got it. Hakara imagines storms and lightning in his mind, and sometimes to the point where he THINKS he is so powerful he is creating storms and lightning. In reality, this is simply the way his mind focuses.

O.K- Hakara ressurects as many undead as he can, then once rested goes into the town to practice his illusions. He also practices divination on subjects that are irrelevant (so as to minimise the burden of knowing).

Thomas sits on the Steps of the Inn, moments from leaving. as he looked around, he cast his magic in a wide circle, in a casual attempt to locate any possible threats forthe voyage in the area.

what does he find?

(this should detect various magic uses and hostile intents... possibly even the creation of the undead...)

Thomas.berugeg

You detect some slight magical bips coming from the south-west otherwise nothing but your seach was only for magic.

Neverwonagame 3

You collaspe on the floor. Hakara failed to raise the other undead. He should have rested. (NWAG you need to include a time frame for me. As far as I am concered you are trying to do all that at once.)

After rest, Hakara decides to settle in for a schedule for the next week or so. It is, roughly:

Morning- Get up, go down to the village, practice illusions
Morning-Miday- Use Magi powers (as in using them to help the village) and whatever means most practical under the circumstances to earn (or secure by other means) the necessary food and drink to survive. (Will, naturally, go on for as long as necessary. No more)
Midday, Half afternoon- Attempt to raise undead
Remaining half of afternoon- Practice divination

Bored of all this waiting around Aik marches out of town along the road to Lithorn.

Hakara

You fail to fool anyone with your more complex illusion and do not manage to improve your techinque. No-one wants to give you food as they don't know if they will have enough to last the winter. You try to steal some bread and water from a bakary but are caught and kicked out the town with no hope of getting back in. You will be hunting from now on. You try to raise another undead but you seem to have lost your confidence after you collasped, maybe something smaller would be a good idea. Your existing undead servent groans loudly. You attempt to divine last few moments of your zombie slave's life you manage to divine just a few seconds of blood and pain. You radiply destory the knowlage with magic to avoid any unpleastentness. Overal not a good day.

Hakara alters his schedule- he won't try to get food, although he will try to improve his illusions in the local area (not just the village, but the surrounding ones). He will attempt to gather corpses (and kill the corpses of appropriate animals) and slowly create a base.

He will also make plans so that when necessary he can prove his Magi status and offer services to a local warlord for the best deal he can get. (He doesn't reveal his secrets though)

(I'd kill animals, and reanimate them to gather food)

Wanderers Wander Again

And so our brave adventurers set off. Thomas, Aiken and Khyrdin are all carrying on together jouneying to the City of Trees at the heart of Larthorn Forest. They had enough supplies to see them through as long as they did some hunting and gathering along the way. They manage to cross the pathless Badlands without too much trouble. They entered the Kingdom of Larthorn with three weeks to go when they saw a blob of grey on the horizon. At first they thought it was a horse but then Khyrdin looked closer, he gasped and swore in Elven. Lin is still recovering but he should be able to set off soon. Meanwhile the strange man is still appearing around the Larthorn area, most villages won't let him in but that doesn't matter as he is now skilled enough to change he face and appear as someone different. Sometime during the past week Larthorn's church was raided and a body was snatched from a grave. They do not know who did it but whoever did is clearly a necromancer. Oni reaches the Hunter's Lodge and finds a sane ranger there, the last of his kind in Larthorn Forest. Finally a strange person has been seen near the Great Forest. He has bone white skin and jet black hair with enerald eyes. Some thing the creature maybe a new kind of lich.

(during the voyage, i'll practice my magic)

is shapeshifting part of my repertoire? if so, i'll shape shift to an eagle, and take a gander over at the grey blob. If not, I'll summon some kind of elemental and use it to observe the grey blob.

No shapeshifting is not part of your repertoire that would come under enchantment and conjuration. Also there is no point you would just get the same PM I sent MooseWarrior. Which type of magic will you pratice or will you pratise the three branchs you know?

*elvish sware* "We might be in trouble guys. Tonight, we're going to need to create a very large fire and keep a watch going."

OOC: Don't worry too much Moose its not that strong and in theroy you should be able to beat it with the help of your comrades.

OOC: Alright, other post edited slightly.
