VertNes-Worlds of Altor.

Glad this is surviving.. it looked.. wobbly at best!

What when you left? Yes it was wobbbly but for my first Nes its done well and I have learnt new things if I was to do a new Nes. So overall a success!

Oh, I don't mean anything against how you are running it, just reading the last page.. you had to chase a lot of people! ;)

That was due to my absense I think which made people forget about the Nes, broken laptop and forgoten passwords before you ask. But I found them all and only one quit for now. This will propbably flop during my first week or two back at school but I will try to keep it going.

NWAG

You sneak up behind Tarkar and take his head with a well timed sword swing. Then teleport to the enemy camp and present it to the genera there. You then collaspe and wake up in the field hospital. You see the general standing nearby, silent.

"What now?" asks Hakara (to the general).

" You help us defeat Tarkar's men and get a nice, long prison sentence or you don't coopreate and are given to the Old Magi to deal with. Your choice."

Hakara is shocked- he was expecting some sort of reward, or at least forgiveness. Under the circumstances, he begins to be resentful.

"Fine" he says, lying. Meanwhile, he plots (though he realises that other Mages will make this harder) to teleport his way to safety...

Well my orders are pretty much to attack small villages and unite many of them under me and under practicing chaos.

Come on Erez you are meant to be RPing. I will give you a random encounter to make you RP I hope.

NWAG

You see the Inquisitor appear from the shadows. " He is lying my lord. Shall we interrogate him or just execute him?"
" Take him and interrogate him."

I'm more of a NESer, I'm trying to make a chaos state ;)

Hakara sighs, and after considering various plans of escape, decides to give up and tell all honesty- except one thing. That is that if he sees an opportunity to escape, he will (teleportation at the expense of unconciousness is his default idea).

Quitting NESing.

Hakara fails to escape and is killed. He is struck from all records and would be forgotten in later Ages like all New Magi. When he died the rebels lost their best chance of victory and though they still fight they lack hope. Will another hero save them or aid their fall?

OOC: I saw you quit from all, or most, of the Neses you are in so I guess something has happened in real life. Anyway good luck, remember you can re-join at anytime and enjoy life

PS OOC: Active guys update on Saturday so you have plenty of time for more roleplay. I may do some modding before that but I have just, today, gone back to school to start GCSEs so I may not have time except at weekends.

Then track down MooseWarrior! I admitt though we have lost several players. Its just I need time to chill out and writing an update is not fun all the time. I will try to get one up tommorow or maybe this should sleep for a bit until I find more players or old players return. What do ou guys think?

“What is your name?”

The New One hissed, rushing at me. For a brief moment, the both the ankh I held and the runes which imprisoned the New One glowed red. The New One screamed, a sound of hatred, rage, and pain, as it tried to force itself through the barrier. It failed, however, just as it had failed in its previous attempts to penetrate its cage. On my left arm, a cut appeared, blood slowly running down the newly opened wound. I ignored it however, just as I ignored the other cuts that now crisscrossed my body. After all, the body and mind were inexorably linked together, so stress and pain on one naturally showed on the other.

“What is your name?” I took a sip of water from my waterskin, only the hand holding the waterskin moving, everything else concentrating solely on the New One. It was a war of endurance now. The battle to bind was one thing, but the battle to master was another. I had several advantages, if I didn’t I would already be dead, namely the New One was weakened by the battle and by being bound as well as myself, being having done this many times before had some experience and techniques. Just as a trained soldier had an advantage in a swordfight against a farmer, so too I had the advantage here.

Not that those advantages guaranteed victory. If I was alone, I would have went ahead and killed the New One, or at least eternally bound him, both tasks being simpler than the one I was now engaged in. One only tried to master a spirit or a demon when one had backup, either a fellow exorcist, or in my case a spirit bear that could easily dispose of a New One weakened by the colossal effort of breaking free from its binding. Thus protected, I could afford both the time and the risk of attempting to master the New One.

Still, if necessary, I was fully prepared to forgo making the New One my servant in favor of killing or banishing it. For as Master Covin said, “Desires bow to Death.”

OOC: The elves and/or spirits may take anything they wish from the battle (such as anything the dead enemy mages might have on their persons). They may also destroy the gate that was under construction, though if possible I wouldn’t mind a copy of any runes or symbols that are on the gate in order to take them to headquarters to see if they held any clues on who was trying to build this gate. I suppose a piece of the gate would be helpful as well, for the same reason. Otherwise, once I finish mastering this New One (or killing it if I must), I’ll take care of disposing of the ruins of the gate through prayers and charms and the like.

Slightly longer term, I would like to go to the hunter’s loge to claim my reward for fulfilling their mission, then head back to the capital where my headquarters are located.

Sorry guys but I don't think this can work with only three players and me at school so I would like to ask you to really think about weather you want this to continue and then post what you think. My reasons for closing this would be: lack of players, lack of time, did not plan for it to survive for so long and it needs some refining I think to re-balance it. I promise to open another RP nes in the future and ask you guys if you have any preference so I can develop it ready for the next major holiday. So what do you think?
