Did you start this game with the old DLL, and then used the new DLL for the saved game?

It's definitely something in my code which is causing an infinite loop. Somehow. I'm working on it.

I can see if I can collect it so its ready to compile if its a help?

I merged the different mods (defender withdrawal, Aircombat XP, Get gold from dispanding, bonusreq units and multible productions, and I think things went pretty ok, but I havent compiled anything yet.
If they could be added to the Advanced Resource Converter it would be cool.
I tried to look at the SuperSpies 3.17 mod, but there were sooo many files, and since they were all 3.17 files, I pretty much gave up. Though I might try later.

is very exited. as I write this, the first homecompiled gamecoredll is being compiled.
Ofcourse it wont work :crazyeye: but it hopefully will over time, and it certainly opens up for a whole new moddingworld. Cant wait to try it out, unfortunately I have to go out tonight so wont check it untill later...

But in a quick test both the Multiple productions and get gold from dispanding works.... sweet....
 
:run: A new era has begun :run:

VIP 0.83 uploaded. Now with a custom made cvgamecore.dll.

The gamecore will be a Debug dll so any errors or bugs will pop up in a seperate window.
Please report any in this thread.
The Debug dll is a bit slower than a standard "Release" dll, so if turntimes are a bit longer, this is the reason.

The gameplay effects of the gamecore will be listed in on of the first posts in this thread, titled : SPECIAL GAMECORE COMPONENTS

If you have not checked out C2C lately Koshling has made a New Save Game Compatability mode. It allows you to continue playing your save games even when a new .dll or version comes out. You Really need to check this out!

I already said I like this mod.
Now goes more.
1. There's ONE thing I highly dislike - Wonder limitations!!!
I mean, HOW many cities do you need to build them all???
It's plain stupid, to either "save space" for future use (while NOT getting any benefits now) or "waste space" now - and lose the future cool wonders...
2. Is it me, or I see no difference between the versions???
Or what SHOULD I see/feel???
I mean, playing 0.81 was exactly like playing 0.83 - didn't see ANY difference...

Again, I'm totally supporting this mod - it's VERY cool (except 1.)!

The main difference between the versions is I made a custom dll (for the first time, I might add ;))

Right now the changes are small, but I wanted to put it out there in case there was a lot of bugs/incompabilities on other machines than my own.

The changes so far are :

Rebase rangelimit for aircraft (x2 of range)

Recon mission has chance of being intercepted

XP to Air units for bombard, bomb improvements, attacking cities and killing units

Air units can completely destroy ground units

Defending units with Withdraw% has chance of retreating combat

Get gold from dispanding units in own culture

Multiple Productions in 1 turn

Specialists can give health and happiness



btw. the wonderlimit is not a civlimit, its just a citylimit, so you can always build the early wonders and then build the later wonders in another city.

As of the version differences, I was testing it on a 1-player game, so no WARS.
Anyways, I still admire the complexity of this mod and how other things actually work.

Its quite easy to "fix" the problem.

In ...Civilization IV\Beyond the Sword\Mods\VIP\Assets\XML\GlobalDefines.xml

there is

just change it to whatever u see fit or -1 which is unlimited.

I suddenly got a great idea!!!

Instead of the spamming of buildings that produce goods, the buildings will become unbuildable and only great people can build them. Still considering if they should be national wonders or not. Also not sure it should give 1,2 or 3 resources.

Seems to be just what I want, but I cannot load this mod.
When trying, Civ BTS restarts and initializes up to "loading xml (uncached). then nothing happens, progress bar just sits there.

Im using OSX.

Anyone has any idea of how to solve this?

Take it from someone whose first born is now 4 months old - now you'll have much less time :D

EDIT: @Vigil - it seems you're using Mac, and since this mod now has a custom DLL you can't use it on Mac.
