I think if they picked the tribe to match the color, Germany would also be white to go with thier "master race" idea of ww2, plus 8 other tribes I counted (would the carthiginians be white? 9 then).

ok, Slowwhand. ill explain my: <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/hmph.gif" border=0> blah.

if people want to play a game, they choose whatever colour civ they get. if you are first to pick tribes, the majority of the players will pick romans, simply because they want to play. otherwise they will customize and their is a big chance the land you live in does not excist in the list. If you customize, who gives a beeb what colour it is? you will just stay on the colour and customize it on that.

to proof my hypothesis, look at the result so far, it shows you a descending order for the colours, just like i predicted.

Conclusion: this pole is a pure BLAH

ah darn, i read for the 5th time and i understand now.

what you are saying is the following: the civ programmers already knew what civs people would love pick when playing the game! yes, that would be very smart of them to do, but i dont believe that, but lets suggest they did.

then what is the meaning of this pole again? is this pole to test if the creators of this game were right about our preferences of tribes? So this is actually a pole to judge the marketing skills of the constructors of this game!! Now that i understand, yes. i would vote for that. I choose Romans.

What I really think is that they put the most populated and current civs first.
I mean, Carthegenians and Sioux? If you have to search them out at last of tribe choice, who cares ?
Although, Sioux is my 3rd favorite choice, for whatever reason.
PLUS, I think woke does fine with English, as so most of the English as a second language people.
One hell of a lot better than I speak Dutch
( or Canadaese )

If I play on the world map, without altering the starting positions, I like to play the Babylonians or Chinese, for their early growth potential (second are French/German) and then Indian/Zulu.

Thats why I voted Russian, my second would be german, the starting position, Europe is one of the most fertile areas of the game. Indians would be 3rd, they have a good start too.
