Vpr1-Monarch & Emperor

Looks like it. I suggest capturing 2-3 more French cities before signing peace, since we cant settle our continent and get the domination like that, although I bet we could expand borders to get the remaining 21 tiles. Good game, everyone!

OT- Nice avatar, fbouthil.

275! Here is a replacement for yours as I do not like it very much. Sorry!

BTW, coast tiles count, but not sea. There are more than 21 coast tiles that I can grab using settlers. I read about it on another forum, but made a small test using CrpMapStats to be sure. Hopefully, that has not changed for C3C.

Thanks! I was actually going to use that but I didn't know what the upload was. I assume viper275 (or am I wrong?), but in uploads 7 or 8?
EDIT: Nevermind, figured it out.
EDIT again: Won't let me use it for some reason. I'll try to get it to work though.
Last EDIT: Got it up now.

1315AD (0) - very very long preturn - 61 tiles needed with over 3000g to spend
RR to Bayonne to settle near there next turn
Switch 9 cities to settler and rush - still 2900g to spend
Switch 16 cities to cav and rush - 155g left!
research 0%, lux 80%
Move 1 cav in range to get to Bodo when Joan gives it to us next turn.
Starving a few conquered french cities to prevent flips.

IBT - Lots of things built

1320AD (1) - 37 tiles needed
Conquered Cherbourg & Besancon from French - 17 tiles left
DoW on Carthage - Conquered Nora - 4 tiles left
Make peace on French for Bodo, printing press & 13g - 11 tiles over
Found 9 cities and realize I missed a spot where jungle was cleared last IBT - 56 tiles over
World area: 68%

IBT - complete Heroes Epic. hum. That was useful! ;)

Good job on a good game everyone! :goodjob:

I brought down my wrath on Ottomans, Celts & Carthage. :)

I guess the emperors were France & Spain, but I am not sure. Carthage was not as the screenshot of the embassy showed (18 food to grow instead of 16).

I found this SG very fun, although it was too easy. With the team we had, I think we should have played at emperor level completely. I think we were a little bit chicken playing at this level. A bad civ & starting position would have made a big difference I guess.

BTW, nice avatar viper275! :rotfl:

Hope I see you again on another SG. Goodbye! :wavey:

Great game!! I'll have to see how time works out when I get really busy, but if I have enough time I might try out an SG on Emperor. I'm very curious as to who were the Emperor civs. Any utilities that tell the level the AIs were at? I guess Spain and France makes the most sense.

A bad civ and start position sounds like a fine idea  . I am picturing Korea on this huge desert map where all the AIs are agricultural. Almost 50 hours, longer than most of my games. Had a great time!

I reopened the game at 1315AD & 50AD and investigated a city of every civ. They ALL needed 18 food to grow so I think you may have made a mistake and we played against monarchs only, no emperors. Emperors would need only 16 food to grow, right? IMHO, the biggest difference between difficulty levels is to need less food, shield & research.

Actually, I was really looking forward to see AI with a big difference between them. I would really like to see a game where when we are the only civ on our continent, an AI is doing the same on another continent. Maybe having one civ of every difficulty level would do the trick.

Excellent way to wrap up the game (and nice symmetry - if I recall you also started us off). You were all great to work/play with hope to team up with you in future games :goodjob: :D

I don't know if that's a reliable way of telling difficulty (I've never heard of it before.) I would look at the shield box (or production, not sure what it is) because of AI cost factor. Perhaps it goes for growth too. Let's say an AI was building a Library. On Monarch, it should be 72 shields for the AI (assuming they aren't scientific) and on Emperor, it should be 64.

Congratulations everyone for a good and fun game! See you in another SG!
