VQ Series Discussion thread

That's fantastic Greyfox. I would have kept bugging you so might as well. Just now need to get namliaM to cave in even though we will miss him at the end of January. I think VQ will have the ability to finish before he heads for honeymoon. And Dot we will definitely need you too. We have a good combination of analytical/warmonger/builders/negotiators amongst us in that I feel we have the perfect team. (much like the perfect storm but for the other teams) Watch out CFR we come for you. Oh and Peanut no slouches either. Last SGOTM learned a ton but like the ways of "Kung Fu" we must unlearn some of it to adjust to a new AI who is much smarter than the average bear.

Much discussion and strategy will be needed indeed. Again I nominate Bobrath to lead the team. I like his calm demeanor in keeping balance on the team. Anyone wish to second that motion. Who would our scribe be? I think one volunteer would be fair since it's a lot of work. I have to say I don't write as well as LuvtoBuild but would be glad to do it however if there is someone who is itching to do it they are more than welcome. I just probably have more time than others and would gladly give it the attention it deserves.

So our new Roster:

Bobrath - (1 nomination for Team Leader)
Scowler
Greyfox
Robo Kai
Furrie (week warrior only skip on weekends)
Cosmichail - (volunteering for scribe)
namliaM - leaning towards joining so getting warmer.
Dot - still deciding (weekend warrior only too much love/work during the week -LOL)

Now some might say 8 is a lot but I do think it will work since Dot if he joins will be working in the background more and playing weekends only. Furrie is playing only during the week. (although correct me if I'm wrong Furrie)

namliaM has a busy schedule and cannot always play but I have to say even with all the pressure at work he managed to keep 100% focus on VQ Black and didn't skip once. It also allows players a little more leverage on the ability to swap in the event they need to. So I think all around a good arrangement. I am getting excited about this and looking forward to our start.

Please clarify Dot I don't get it but that's not hard today.

Is that right about just playing weekends because of busy schedules during the week or am I incorrect? There was no rush as to when you would join. Just great to have you officially on board. Have you been playing warlords with patch. ARGH but actually good because vanilla is getting too easy and nice to have a challenge just play differently now. Why don't you do a round in our practice SGOTM03?
 
Bobrath would be great as team leader.
Don't nominate me for leader (hint hint), I am very moody. Sometimes I give up easily one moment and then decide to move the game along the other.
 
Hey gourmet cooks can be tempermental but who cares when it comes to food. I just love good Asian/Arab/Italian/Greek/German/Dutch/French/ food and some day will try Indian too. (favourite is Indonesian/Lebanese)
 
Glad to hear that namliaM. So now the team is complete.
 
I have also joined the crew so that makes three of us LOL....

Of course I imagine namliaM will want to play this one and maybe we should post him as a possible since he isn't back until Feb. 25/07 and game starts Feb. 23/07.

If he joins that will make four and a couple of new players should make it complete. I hope that Scowler will join in as well as that would make our team somewhat complete.

this is my first post in the forums ever and its a big request.
but first a little introduction...
i read your current SGOTM daily, to be honest i check more than once a day for new posts....ach i check all the time, i´m addicted!. i also read tons of regular SGs (50+ and lots with some of you in) but never participated in one. since i found the SGOTM through a SG than one of you people participated in i decided that you and all the stuff i learned about the game from you are largely responsible for my addiction of reading SGs / SGOTMs. I finally can not resist the urge to participate anymore. I want to play!

Would you please allow me to participate in your team in the next Warlords SGOTM?

I usually play warlords on Monarch level. since the last patch i rarely win my games, on prince level i usually do. i would be able to participate/play almost daily since studying art gives you a lot of freedom about your time. I´m a german living in vienna. If you would have i´d sign up right away.
 
You're absolutly more then welcome to join in. Just understand we'll expect you to argue, complain, comment, question, and generally take part in the SG experience. No programmed players here!

Although I didn't think nor Greyfox that we would have a complete team but we do again. Woooohoooo VQ rules. (mmmm reminds me of Seagrams VO not Q but the V is definitely there)

So as I like to do is make team lists as usual here we go.

BTW very glad to see Scowler returning as I noticed his post in the signup thread so imo I don't think we need any more players but maybe reserves or lurkers.

namliaM == (The whip expert ==to be confirmed but I'm sure he'll go for this wacky variant and probably needs a break from all the loving)

The above list is not an indication of order of play.

That does make six of us so that is doable for the SGOTM but maybe a seventh wouldn't hurt for skips/OOP.
