Reflections:

I razed Texcoco. That was my mistake. There was tundra, but also food tiles

I kept another Aztec city. Maybe we should raze it.

Lost plenty of maces, usually when odds were 95% (lack of luck), but build some Knights instead.

Renegotiate deal with Ramses. We are giving him Copper. Probably he his heading for Democracy too. Stop selling him Copper.

Aztecs are going to be vasalized in next 15 turns I think. We did not lose to many diplomatic points too.

Boston arose to very powerful city now, with research of almost 200. Buddist missionary is heading to Boston. Build Buddist Monastery for additional research.

I made plenty of tech-for-tech deals. We still are not in trouble. Only some cities are small.

Great artist soon win pig for us. Additional bonus is 3coins and 3beakers. Maybe it was not worst idea to put him as superspecialist.

3 universities are built. We need 3 more. I propose Washington, also another city (of Shaka) with pop of 10, where catapult is being built now.

I whiped plenty staff in Ulundi. Especially forge, just to increase production. Next building should be Globe Theatre. But we need to mine this city first. Currently cottages are placed on hills near Ulundi. It must be changed.

If we stop selling Copper to Ramses we should complete SoL, even without help of GE. If GE appears, it should be saved for Ironworks.

Entire Kingdom has Hinduism as a state religion. So Washington has plenty staff to build: University, Bank, Grocer as well as military units.

I pull also some irigations to our northern cities (previously owned by Kublai). We need also start Windmill our Kingdom, since Replacable parts will be known soon.

Pre-flight check:

cancel copper to Ramses (we lose wine & wheat). Sell Ramses deer & sheep for cow and rice. Change boston from jail to grocer and turfan from jail to bank. trade construction + education to Nappy for Astro +80g.

1480: Old Sarai finishes something and starts a monestary
1490: boring
1500: Trade Astro to Sal for Econ +20g. Nappy offers guns for PP. No way jose. Heron (GE) pops in Washington.
1505: Demo in. Start RP. Start SoL in Washington. Decide not to mess with the civics for now.
1510: plinking contest with Monte. siege of Tlacopan continues.
1515 & 1520: moving units.
1525: Tlacopan falls. Keep it. Wang has democracy! trade Lib and PP to Nappy for guns and divine right.
1530: RP done, start chem.

No screenies cause not much changed. most of the set was setting up for Tlacopan. We prolly need 2 or three more of monte's cities to get him to give up. the main problem is that Teno was settled on copper, so he get's maces forever.

IMIO, we're light on siege engines. Lots of time lost getting units to the front. My recommendation is to go take Monte's city to the S and the city to the SW of our forces. Then if we have to, drive on Teno. That city to the N is useless.

I started building galleons for the future (Wang). Khan is :nono: until we have rifles. Need more trebs.

Left it to the next better player to decide on the civics.

Ok thanks. I thought I was going I guess it is for balance so that all good medieval units don't need iron. Pike, Mace, X-bow, knight. Otherwise only longbow would be possible.
IIRC only maces can get built from copper. The others still need iron. Except maybe LB? :crazyeye: G44, you need to get that computer upgraded!

and giaur, what's up with that last screenie? that's something I would do.

That is what I was saying. That the copper gives you access to one unit so that you aren't totally sunk in medieval without iron. I'm just going to run away before I say anything else stoopid.

Saying stoopid things, never stopped me. In warlords, I like to play as the celts cause of the copper upgrades (gallic swords available with copper, maces available with copper). Someone just has to teach me how to play without running to bronze...

I see two cities with Target one two marked on them so I guess that they are to be attacked in that order. Don’t you just love it when someone tells you exactly what to do?:D This reminds of someone, I just can not remember who.:hmm: So my plan for this turn set is to try to take the two cities, just one problem not enough Trebuchets. Oh wait a bunch are being built across our nation. Good enough, on with the healing.

As I get the troops into position for bombardment of target one, Ramesses II asks for this:

Civ4ScreenShot0011-2.jpg

So natural I have no idea where we stand with Buddhism so I check:

Civ4ScreenShot0012-2.jpg

:hmm:, out of 16 cities we have 4 with Buddhism, and we are running Organized Religion. I think this a no brainer. Sorry Ramesses I do not think so. Now for the really weird part of this deal, a clip from the autolog:

Attitude Change: Ramesses II(Egypt) towards F.D.R.(America), from 'Friendly' to 'Pleased'

I do not understand why this happened I was fully expecting for Ramesses to go to ‘Cautious’ after I said no.

Napoleon then came with this:

Civ4ScreenShot0013-2.jpg

I accepted we might be able to use his territory as a beach head for Ramesses. Chemistry came in:

Civ4ScreenShot0014-1.jpg

I went for Military Tradition since it was only 4 turns. I figured that the knights I have been starting could be upgraded to Calvary after they have finished with Target One and Two. Speaking of which, I added a new city to our nation.

Civ4ScreenShot0015-1.jpg

Earlier I had noticed a Barbarian border so I sent a ship to investigate and found this.

Civ4ScreenShot0016-1.jpg

Napoleon had a demand:

Civ4ScreenShot0017-1.jpg

Again I had no idea what deals we had going. So I checked:

Civ4ScreenShot0018-1.jpg

I thought about it for another second and said no to Napoleon. I think can use the gold until we are ready to nail Saladin’s hide to the wall. By the way I think should take him down next. And Military Tradition came in:

Civ4ScreenShot0019-1.jpg

And I stopped it here. Why because we at 216 turns when I started so I wanted to end on some reasonable number (225). Also I selected Steel but am not sure if we want to go for something else. So here are things as I left them:

What remains of the Aztecs:

Civ4ScreenShot0027.jpg

A couple of things:
  1. I sent some troops with goto orders to the rally point I marked on the map. Sorry if this cause some problems.
  2. I told Shaka to attack the city I marked.
  3. Troops have been amassing around Target two while the Bombardment ensues. So there are plenty of troops there take the city and move on to the Capital.
  4. A couple of Galleons finished. I left them stationed at port for lack an knowing what to do with them.
  5. We have a Great Engineer, I did not know what to do with him so I left him alone.
  6. No beakers have been invested into Steel yet. So if next player wishes to change it go ahead.
