Just got a new laptop and still struggling to make all the patches run. 1.22 is OK but there are some problems with 1.15. I'll try to fix it but niot sure if I can continue this game. Well, can use old desktop then.

Strategic situation:
Our southern region is weak. All cities are defended by just one unit. Our so-called core is exposed to naval landings. Except for one NumMerc army, all armies are in the northwestern region.
A Viking pike goes for our slaves in the southern region. We lack quick units to counter-attack in the southern region.
Our nothern iron mine is still under Byzantine attack.

I have to disagree with Andvruss' battle plan. Currentyl, we don't have the potential to perform mid- or long-range operations. Even less, when taking into consideration that the Byzantines might confront us with rifles in their territory. I don't like the idea to redline our armies at the outskirts of Byzantine cities and to expose them to cavalry counter-attacks, when they have to retreat.
We should concentrate on small-scale operations, which allow us to bring our troops back to reployment areas quickly.

Got it, although I'm up in another game still & have to shadow turns in GK2 so it'll be a day or so.
 
And just so you know the turn report he has to shadow is mine and it had to be split into two pages because it was so long. Hopefully it will take him as long as it took me to write. :D

BTW great job on this game I've been lurking for a long while and I did not figure you'd still be aroubd at this point. :goodjob:
