Here is the place to point out the most wacky quotes you or someone else has said on this site.

Do not make up a quote to display here, use a quote used in the past that either you or most people would consider wacky, or is just plain funny, even if it was a serious quote in context.

I'll start with one of my own.

Glenn Beck is usually fair and balanced. Well, maybe you could say he leans toward conservative but I see no issue with that. A conservative view is a balanced one. - Domination3000

And this one: "Also, explosions do not create things according to physical and scientific laws, therefore, evolution is a religion, and not proven." - Domination3000

"Ronald Reagan was a good President." - various dudes

I agree. He was.

Another one:Second of all, I believe in the Bible. I believe the Earth was created six thousand years ago (thereabouts) I also believe that the world cannot last 1,000 more years because then we'd be traveling time and messing with the past. Such paradoxes as the grandfather paradox prove this cannot be allowed. Domination3000.

Also note, I don't disagree with any of said quotes, I just don't mind making fun of myself.

Edit: See who can be the first to find it (Outside of this post) and link it (Except me.)

You might want to include a part saying people must opt-in, since I think you have to get a person's permission to quote them and such...

Anyway:

(In response to a poster saying Shadow did not compare to "Sonic the Great")

"Lies propagated by the liberal arch-conservative Genesis-hugging anti-advancement-of-gaming- technology hating-of-anything-beyond-Sonic-and-Knuckles despising-3D-gameplay abhorring-actual-plotlines disgusted-by-character-personalities obsessed-with-running-and-nothing-else elite!" - Myself

Fair enough, although I have only quoted myself thus far.

Opted in Tanicius?

Meaning you should be safe from the wrath of the mods. :goodjob:

Of course. I can't wait to see what people have to say about me.

Well, first off, I do believe technically anything posted here is property of the forum, and at very least I would not get into trouble with mods until/unless said person reports the post. That said, for safety reasons, we will only quote whoever opts in.

That being said: The rise of socialist policies, ever so slowly, into public recognition and acceptance.

This reinforces my views of why democracy is a horrible system and that any form of it needs to have enormous checks on the capability of the people to influence decision making, for the people's will is often not in their interests.

We've all become greedy; "it's fine to raise taxes on people if I get free stuff." It's insane. We will destroy eachother with our complete lack of regard for the interests of others. And that is what socialism, with its package of greater taxes, spending, and overall expansion of government, is all about.

As said before, more proof that democracy and self-determination are dangerous.

Taniciusfox.

I love this quote, and whatever you do to separate yourself from it, you are now on my side against the dark evils of socialism and liberalism. Now, you fight for me. Go ahead, mock the post if you want to, I agree with it though;)

The funny thing is I do genuinely believe some of what I said. The key difference is I wouldn't use "socialism" to describe it.

I do believe in checked democracy; I detest self-determination and direct democracy; I do believe all humans - left, right, center, etc. - have succumbed to greed, envy, etc. and will screw almost anybody over simply to have more. It doesn't matter whether you're rich or poor; we're all out to rip somebody else off so we can have more.

I am nowhere near as anti-welfare as I acted, but I do harbor a distrust of expanded government authority, even if it's been shown to do more good than harm. I think people should question authority at every turn and corner, regardless of who is in power. Because, again, all humans are all too eager to screw eachother over. And when those same humans have the legal monopoly on force... well, you can see where I'm going.

There really does need to be a way to stab people in the face over the internet.

Not really wacky quotes, but here are some on Democracy:

John Adams: Remember, Democracy never lasts long, it soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.

Benjamin Franklin: Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.

As you can see, Democracy is bad.

Anyway, I would use socialism to describe it.;)

There needs to be a way to stab people over the internet. Arwon.

Who and why???

One of the most pompous threads I've read on these forums yet.
