Black may be nicer but not authentic. The Waffen SS would never fight in the field like that. They wore camouflage so it was harder to see them. Only someone who wanted to be easily shot would wear black in combat in daylight. Only tank crew wore black in action and they were usually in tanks!

however one should maybe also know that a unit like this hasn't been placed in the game from scratch because the SS was primarily capturing jews and hunting them..

btw, they had more of a brown uniform, at least my granduncle did.

I remember I had an mod for Civ 2 that replaced the old "Fundamentalism" government with "Fascism" and allowed a special unit to be build under that government called "Political Infantry" or something like that.

You probably speak of my old Civ-2 "Fascist Patch", which replaced Fundamentalism with Fascism, added the Fascist-only unit "Stormtrooper" along with a few other units (Airships in Civ2, Stuka Dive bombers, Heavy Tanks, etc).

It was a very popular mod for Civ2... even got mentioned in Computer Gaming World magazine.

Yeah, it was a popular mod... one of the first ever for Civ2... I also made a version for Civ3, and that's where my Civ modding days ended... Civ4 finally added Fascism and the units got too complicated (3D) for me to mess with!

It's a little more complicated then just dumping the graphics files into a directory and starting Civ4.

You essentially need to dump the files in the right place and modify three key files for most units (four if it's nation-specific).

Took me awhile to figure it out too, but if you want to modify BtS with new unit graphics, this is the best place to start... try this link:

Even SS black uniforms were Hugo Boss original, so they're still top-notch uniforms

And i do consider Waffen-SS uniforms one of best uniforms at all time, as they surely make most men look pretty sexy in them

Damm all this reading and working just to get nazis to kill sub humans.Is there an easy way Out?
Dude I been reading all morning and yuo make me a death factory i would like to kill the civilians when i capture them.
Can you make Chem Weapons like white fosforest or anthrax,maybe some musterd gas or agent X?
How about Hydrogen Bomb?

It works just fine, i dont think it sucks!! This just what i was looking for.

Only in Hollywood (and certainly not in combat... they'd stick-out like a sore thumb)... which is why I've always used Bernie's Waffen SS units in my mod.
