Ward Chuchill to finally get Axed?

You could do a Google search. ;)

IIRC, he wrote some articles several years ago, plagerizing others (and distorting their views) showing how the Americans had systematically set out to commit genocide on the Americn Indian peoples. Then he wrote further studies, and used his earlier work as references, in order to "prove" this.
In addition to the clear plagarism of artwork. You can see one example of this here. His version is a clear mirror image of the other.

It's about time Churchill got fired. The man is a disgrace, and has no place teaching anyone, anywhere.

rmsharpe if you can locate a conservative professor on a college campus, let me know cause i haven't seen any the last 3 1/2 years I've been there.

The college I went to was full of them. So much so that I jokingly refer to it as a "Conservative Arts" college.

Judging that you're from California, you and I probably have differenct definitions of what a conservative is... ;-)

Unless of course you went to: BYU, Texas A&M, Baylor University, or one of the military academies (Coast Guard, Army, Navy, VMI, ect)

I went to a private university in the LA area.

And I spent a year at a school in TX as well and, again, I can say that I interacted w/ several professors who would be considered "conservative"

Well, I want details but I suppose that only the review council knows that. I do actually suspect that "twisting of facts" and "violation of research standards" is fairly common, particularily in contentious and politically sensitive issues (global warming).

Well, it sure has taken them long enough. Once he gets fired I wonder if anyone else will be zany enough to hire him as an educator again?

Stranger things have happened. Unfortunately, in many professional circles, competence has no impact on qualification. In medical academia, for example, I've seen some pretty strange appointments. It was enough to make you wonder "what were they thinking?"

All I can say is that it's about time. Unfortunately, if actually fired he will probably land on his feet. I am sure that there are plenty of other universities out there ready to hire him on because of his name value if nothing else.
