Warhammer 40000 mod - the community effort

Yeh. You have to advertise it as a game for builders (You start stranded on aa planet, and have to build your race up to be the best on the plannet!), and then when anyone starts playing the game, that message will be in the intorduction to the scenario. :D
 
So we discuss all buildy-thingy nice-nice here, and make a closed development forum for our real goals? :evil: :crazyeye:

I think the "culture group tech eras" could work, I mean, we can stick like 40 techs in a single era. How would be splitt them tho?
 
well, think- try to split the civs into 4 groups. its hard enough splitting into 5 city groups, let alone 4 groups..
 
It doesn` even have to be 4 groups :) It can be more! Some techs will be shared by all, like 10 per era, thats 40 techs for all, and then we have 120 techs to distribute among them :) What do you think? So we can take each group at a time - imperial techs, eldar techs and so on :) Bad idea? Or good? :D

Hokay, lets take on the Imperials first, shall we?

What do you "research" first when you arrive on the battlefield? Defenses, right? Estabilishing a base and so on, supply chain, that sorta stuff. Then offense. Then, reinforcements. Then, Big Fuggin Guns :D Also, they need some chapels `n stuff for the morale :) Do you like where I`m going with this? Speek freely, a big fat chunk of credits goes to you :)

the idea is they land, but realise the situation is bigger than expected, so have to learn how to make stuff using the natural materials.
 
But version2 has the option of calling for reiforcements, they landed on purpose, they know things (well not they, but the guys back home), so they start relying on more advanced "techs" (send us some artillery dammit, they are slaughtering us here!) as the war progresses :) Or you had something else in mind? :hmm:

But the information at the start is called the Scenario information, not the "mod information" ;)
 
yes, i did. the imperimum thought hat they were only to face a few rebels, but upon landig, discovered that the planet was to be a huge battleground of bloody deathly blood-death. hence, the imperium aren't always right.
