Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.0

Well I would say most musculature, weapons, armor, etc. tend to be exaggerated in majority of the warhammer pics I've seen. You could probably use the Freak figure for poser with some of the morph packs out there and make some pretty cool backgrounds.

I just download this mod but I get an error when installing it. checked the first few pages but didn't see anything about this so I figured i'd ask instead of read every last post.

wh2\art\units\WarTiger\PaddleDeath.flc: this file contains invalid data.(error 21fc)

Then it says I have to run it again to install, which gives the same error. Do I need to redownload it or what can I do to fix it?
 
yeah i downloaded 2.0 not just the patch, just got done redownloading it and it installed this time woooo :) .
 
When I go to run the mod I get a dialog box telling me "missing icons in text\PediaIcons.txt ICON_BLDG_Windmill" I've checked out the path and that's okay. The windmill PCX files show beneath the ICON_BLDG_Windmill header. Conquests with latast patch is installed. Is there away to fix this?

ED give me an ETA on the next patch.

Also just wondering i have both this mod and Rhyes of Civ and when i play Rhyes all the cities and barbarian camps look like those from the Warhammer mod also the tech tree has arrows pointing to nothing. I was wondering what i can do to fix this?

Oh one other thing my dad played just the normal version and started to get that Trebuchet error on the normal version. Im not sure whats up there as i thought that error only came up on your mod before that fix.

Any help is great.
 
Greeting embryodead. I do not know much of what you are going to add or change in the next update...but I just saw the ogre kingdoms in the store...and I felt like a child again...big aggressive and dangerous guys pounding their enemies to the ground...it would be very fun if they were added as well. Another addition is chaos dwarf...I play them in bloodbowl...so they are nessesary...(IMO).

Another thing...the map I loaded down didn't work for me...even in the editor...

So I will make one of my own...of the warhammerworld. I have checked a lots of maps on the net...so I might come up with something good... I like the idea the Rhye put up...(it might have occured before but this was the first time for me...), that of squares are developing as time progresses...constantly...very cool...
 
About values...

Elves are the only one that have foottroops with 2 movepoints...

In WHFB they have a M of 5

Now explain the following...both skinks and kroxigors are having a move of 6...why are thy slower...? And kroxigores weaker than ogres and trolls...? That is not happening in the WH world...Krox use a strength of 7 while ogres use 5 and trolls 4...they all have the same number of wounds...trolls regenerates, krox have have scaly skin...ogres I am not sure of...krox are the least expected to run from a lost battle...(coldblooded).

An upgrade of the Slann would be nice...an older generation. The stegadon has a giant bow that works quite like an elven boltthrower. An addition of salamanders would be a good addon as well...

Dwarves should have mountainwalk...I have tried it out in a couple of game and played it personally as well...and it worked well and it wasn't an overpower...

And I wish some boat additions and modifications...as a Man O'War fan as I am...I had for while all the races on the waves...even skaven and chaos dwarves...
The dwarves should have the nautilus (submarine, not too strong or fast...but fun) , Highelves should replace the galley with a hawkship. There is a range of ships to the empire navy as well...the wolfships, the hellhammers, the ironfists. The dwarf Ironclad is more like the dwarf monitor by the look. The Ironclad is somewhere between Dreadnought and Monitor. The Dwarven Baloons should be able to Bombmissions.

The idea of dragon armies is a very strange concept to me. Make the flyers as real air units...What is really wrong with that...? And since when did a dragon take a city and left it as it was to the owners...? Well, just wandering thoughts...

Another idea that I have...the use of spawningpools for lizardmen should be exstended...spawn all troops...different pools spawn different troops or workers...but you cannot have more than one pool per city...(use replecement flag). That concept can vbe aplied to other civs as well...just add culture to them and opponent will never gain them...
 
BTW...I do really appreciate the MOD alot...otherwise I would not engage myself as much as I do...

It is one of the best I have played so far...

Hi.
I made a Mod for the Mod. its kool if you like to Blitz in Warhammer.
Also can i join the team because i have iders for maps, mods, scenarios, and Add-ons?

Anyway im making a mod the includes this mod. The mod is basicaly this mod at war with 3 other mods (by locked alliances) and the Hugon (the race that brote them all to gether in a Mod). A mod is the term that the Hugon use the describe a dimantion. Anyway What 3 other mods would do great in this mod? the frist vetion will only have Hugon and Warhammer(all races in a locked alliance)

I wrote three posts...one quite large one...all was removed when I looked now this morning...no comment, nothing...so I assume discrimination...what else could it be...since I never use abusive language...it cannot be for that...why was I removed...?

Where did you wrote it, and what was it about? If it was offensive post or way off-topic, maybe some moderator deleted it.

You posted those in the wrong thread (in the Genghis Khan's Great ambition thread). I will split your posts out of that thread and put them in this warhammer thread. :)

Altough I'm not embryodead, I took the liberty to answer a few points here :)

According to the latest information, ed is working on an update for this mod. His real-life issues are taking his time quite a lot, but those issues are about to solved during february (atleast that's the impression I've got).

There are currently no plans on adding the ogre kingdoms, simply because there are no unit graphics for them. But that doesn't mean, that ogres won't be added ever. :)

The chaos dwarfs are to be added in as soon as possible, many units are done for them, propably the leaderhead graphic is the only necessary thing still missing.

The values are what they are propably becaues of game-play balance. I'm not the best person to comment on the values though.

The dwarven mountainwalk issue is an old one. I'm not taking any sides with this matter, I'd be happy no matter what the final decision is. :)

About the boat-issues & man-o-war; as you may have noticed, there are a few ships included from man-o-war. Certainly not all ships from that game, but just enough to give some flavor to the game.

You are not the only one who likes the mod :) - heck, I didn't know a thing about warhammer, when ed first asked me to do some things for the mod (organ gun, gyrocopter, steamtank...), now I don't want to do any other units than the ones related to the warhammer fantasy - like those chaos dwarfs and currently the tomb king and vampire counts skellies :)
