Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.1

Very good job:goodjob: . I love it.

well its pretty simple and is all explained in the first post, just download the links and extract them to folders it says to on the first post, if you read the first post and still dont know what to do then I will try to discribe more for you though...

ah, you need to make sure you are putting them in the right folders, if I was you I would extract them to somewhere seporate then move them in manually so you know where they go

I just need a clean installation that is just fixed right just to install, not anything that confuse me to where to put this and that to here and there. I continue to try to load this but get the error of Art/adviser/kral_frenz.??? and ****.

It seems you didn't download the main mod, only the update. It's hard to provide clean installations (several hundreds of MB) every time there's an update for the mod, so it's only done on bigger updates. The 2.00 version with a small automatic patch is such clean base install and it works. The main post may be a bit confusing for new people so I'll give you a list of files you have to install, in this order:

1. Warhammer Mod 2.0 and 2.02 Patch (those are clean installers of the mod, they'll install automatically given you provide the location of your Conquests folder, if it's different from default; at this point you should already be able to play)

2. 2.11 Update (installer, choose main Civ3 folder to install to this time)

3. 2.20 Update and resource fix (manually unzip into the civ folder, in case of doubt, you should be replacing files in (...)/Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios/ )

thanks for guiding me my friend!

Edit: Yay! 3d downloads is fixed!

Edit: Dude, I continue having loading problems, saying that art/flics/ Arial_01.fcl errors everytime i start up the map. It loads complete then when i load up a new map, I get that error!

I think that's a problem that's happened somewhere from extracting up the scenario to getting here. To fix it, make a backup of the Warhammer Scenario, open up the origional, and go to Rules -> Civilizations, and scroll down until you find art/flics/ Arial_01.fcl, and
1st: change .fcl to .flc
2nd (if problems persist) get rid of space between the / and "Ariel"
(so the space in between here "flics/ Arial")

Embryodead? Is that you? When I joined here you were gone and only celebrated in Civ 3 legend. Wow. :D

VC, I think that was just a typo.

If you're missing Ariel_01.flc etc. then you must have installed the 2.0 version in the wrong place. Check these folders:

Civilization III/Conquests/Net Art/Flics - Inside this folder you should find various .flc files, Ariel_01.flc etc. among them. If it's not there, it's probably somewhere else and means you installed the 2.00 version in the wrong place. Default location is C:/Program Files/Infogrames Interactive/Civilization III/Conquests
If you installed your civ3 elsewhere, you have to provide the installer with the new location.

...Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios/WH2 <- this folder should have around 500MB

...Civilization III/Conquests/Scenarios/ - inside this folder you should have, apart from the WH2 folder, at least three WH2 BIQ files, the old one and updates. If you only have one, it means you installed one of the updates fine, but not the other.

I have been away for a long time and recently had to re-install the mod myself from scratch, it took some time downloading and installing all the updates but it all worked fine.

Gone? Oh yeah it was Sunday, I was resting ;)

I posted in the other thread that I'm kinda back and very happy that people continued to develop the mod and done a good job. Especially the soon-to-be-released 2.5 version with even more Warhammer-specific playable races :D
