Warhammer Fantasy Mod 2.1

so your saying that I need to put Flics in the art section of Civilization 3: Conquest, right? not on the art section of WH2?

I just hope that the next version (2.5) will be a full installation so that it be easier to download and install without having to manually do things.

Edit: YAY! Got her workin! thanks for the help!

Edit: This is quite humorous, I have gotten all the ten artifacts for the quest victory, and click on domination, and I get a drum roll then get a crash error!

HOLY EDITOLY: I don't know if this will ever be possible, and I have not seen any Civ 3 mods did this before, but can you add in custom music other then the original music of Civ 3, I really be appreciated if you do so cause I am tired of listening to the old crappy music of Civ 3.

I believe that they're looking into getting V 2.5 available as a full installer.

This is possible, and has been done in a few mods before. Check out Far Horizons by Sword of Geddon, or The Rise and Fall of the Mughals by Rambuchan. It's probably better just to turn the music off and play whatever you want through winamp in the background. That's what I do. :)

Hey guys, just to let you know, Fileplanet.com and Filefront.com have the Warhammer: Mark of Chaos Single Player Demo. I have successfully downloaded it, and it's about a GB (1124.7 MB). So If your interested and trying to find some more information about Warhammer and there battles, I recommend playing the demo to learn a little bit more.

Yea, the demo went up on Friday.
I downloaded and tried it, was pretty poorly done in my opinion. I liked the army builder, but they tried to do more than they could handle, and ruined what could have been a great game. Felt very slow paced, but didnt compensate for that by being tactical like the tabletop does. Only standout i found was the hero units.
Pity

I know, I also told the people in the forums of Gamefaqs that the demo and game is poorly done and I wish they have not make it in the first place and let Relic Entertainment, the makers of Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War to make that game instead to make it look very good and better.

I was hoping for something closer to the tabletop than it delivered turn based would have actually made me happy, but what theyve made just felt like an out of date RTS, without the building/resource element to it.

I thought I'd share this as it has never happened to be before ... and was ... ummm ... unexpected to say the least

Random everything except Map Size = HUGE and Barbarians = RAGING

Get the slavers out :whip:

This is great. I'm not generally into fantasy scenarios/mods but this one I like very much.

Couple Questions: Do Tileans have some Expansionistic advantage? I mean, I've built about 40 cities, and I'm easily dwarfed by them (I'm Chaos).

Also, why do the pirate ships kick so much a$$? I had a fleet of at least 20 ships guarding my home island, and now I have about 6. 4 of which are near death limping back to port.

Nice to hear that you like it. :)

The Tileans are usually not among the leading civs, so I guess that they just had a good start in your game.
The leading civs are more likely to be Agricultural, but chance has a bigger role.

Pirates kick ass because they can say ARRR!!! better than anyone else.
A tip; use magic spells to hurt ships, and take them out with your own ships, this reduce casualties, and let you blow up ships with fireballs too, so that's two birds in one stone. :)

Kind of ditched the Hordes of Chaos for the Ulthuans. Much better. Started off on a large island with the Tileans. Can you guess what happened when about 10 of my elven bowmen came across their three cities, defended by a lone unit, with hardly an fleck of veterancy?

After this I focused solely on expanding my civilization, I control my main island, 3rd largest I believe, 2 small outlying islands, slowly taking over two other small islands culturally.

I'm also massing my troops for an assault on the Westerlanders. When I say mass, that means about 15 ships with 5 Master Swordsmen in each, 6 with 5 Silverhelm cavalry in each, 3 with Great White Dragons and Earth elementals, 2 with bolt throwers, and 6 with Phoenix Guard in them. I also have about 12 firestorms at the ready to unleash hell.

3/4 of my ships are in place, the other are awaiting troops to transport. I also have a mutual protection pact with every other nation in the game, except the goblins, they're going down after the Westerlanders.

Why am I going through this trouble? Because I have the economy for it, the allies for it, and they are currently the weakest (about 25-30 cities) and they have resources/luxuries that I don't have.
