I downloaded the newest version...Beta .5 and noticed...

Can't play multiplayer

Me and a couple buddies have been playing the alpha using direct connect multiplayer with no issues as well as other mods. But for some reason about 10-20 turns into the Beta .5 we get an out of sync. We tried re-booting, re-starting, etc.....no effect. Keeps going out of sync. Not sure why, but figured i'd pass on the info.

We went back and played the Alpha afterwords with no issues so i believe there may be a small bug somewhere in the Beta .5

Anyways, just trying to help out (be better if i gave you the reason why it went out of sync huh? except i don't know heh).

Oh, thought i'd mention...it looks great, and none of us have any issues with singleplayer using the Beta .5
No crashes or anything as of yet....just killing lots of stuff with my Griffons

Started a game with your beta last night - looking good!

I haven't got very far yet, but I'll post any issues I find.

One thing I noticed: there doesn't seem to be any way to 'unlock' the new resource Barley. Can't build a farm w/o water (which you can with corn etc.), seems to act like a normal tile, though the tooltip says +1 Health.

Now that you said that i looked up the unit thread.

And what can i say, those buttons are great!
Especially for the units, because they show stills of the models - so you can instantly recognize the buttons to belong to those units.

Btw: your not starting a conflict. I do those buttons mainly because it´s fun for me - and if somebody ( ) them, well nobody is forced to use them. I had my funtime, that´s enough for me.

Well maybe next time you could at least say why

I dont like to say bad things about stuff people spended time for and had fun doing it. The reason why i dont like them is, because i had another style for nippon in mind, that wasnt represented by your buttons, i want nippon to be a civ, which people would like to play just because of their look, and the pics u provided on the buttons dont look, well serious, dark, elegant enough for me (well thats it, for me, maybe other people like them better ). so thank you for any help you provide!

@J (or anyone who also knows this): hi, wanted to ask if u know a good source for the Religious icons, dont know which style or better said which symbol they should be represented with. just some small hints could be enough.

That the model from Tharidos works is the best news i can image! well, this will be the rise of warhammer miniatures!
I will reskin the other units for the human civs, which dont need new models. hope i can finish them soon, so i can work on some more impressing stuff.

and well, Tharidos, please do me the Tilea units i told you about next. Such a unit will be of great use!!! you got some really good pics of the miniatures on gws site!

Everything comes in line and yes i will think about that unit as well. Now as told i'm working on a new wall set.........let see if that will work as well Then a machinery or flying thing ! maybe in the middle there i can create that unit ...........don't worry be happy

Sorry to bug you there again - as it turns out i did the icons from the buttons already included in the game

Seems we need to find a way to not work on the same things again in the future (OK my fault here i was only asked for buttons - but needed a break from them. And after i had a look at the readme and the beta for about 20 mins i decided to do them)

Sorry for that.

But as i said i used the buttons from the game and theres maybe something more fittinf for the religions (And as the Mod my icons are still in beta - not really prettied them up!)

Btw: please have a look at the buttons I posted in post #264.
The Techs are meant to be for Magics, your opinion is greatly appreciated wether i should do more of this style or come up with something new

The techmagicbuttons are pretty I say we should take them!

The spies need a shadier background I think. Try some dark blueish background and put some moonlight in to give the figure contrast maybe with shiny nebula etc.

The religious buttons are a start, with a little more contrast and a polish I think they'll be okay

I would like to know if they are currently the only civ. It would kill me if the Tileans were stuck battling the French and the Chinese for world supremacy!

The Empire is pretty complete, then theres the Nipponeese who have a few extra graphics, also Kingdoms of Ind, Estalia, and Cathay, who are just generic civs (though they are being more fully developed against my expectations ^^ ).

which also have some units you won't find in vanilla, and will get more

Why don't you just download it and see?

I haven't got around to finishing the spells, but they are pretty easy, would you want to finish them up, if I sent you what I have, and what I would like each to do? (I think I have a basic grip on python now and its capabilities)

PS I found the warhammer world map I got with one of my online orders, I think, it's the most complete map I've seen of the whole world. I'll try and scan it and post it tonight for the mapmakers. (no promises though- it looks like a 4 hours of homework kinda night...like the last 3 nights, though tonight will be the last...)

@Lord Olleus: my thoughts exactly, I'll send them to you tommorow.

NightRavn: Here's the map, I had to divide it into 8 parts cuz it was so big the scanner couldn't fit it. (yes, I litterally ripped it into 8 sections and scanned them, now I have to tape them back ) It's a little more detailed than the map you had (especially in the east). Your best bet, though, is to go off multiple smaller maps. This site has a good collection
