Yes seZ is really doing a great job here imo! Can wait to see the formations finished for all the units myself. As soon that's done and they have appropriate stats lets go for release. However that will still probably take some weeks. It simply are too much units to acomplish that in just a few days.
 
just wanted to hint that i created that teaser screen, after i finished formations and reworked /cleaned up most of the units...:rolleyes: i especially want to point out the cathay units, you will have to compare it to a vanilla chokonu unit, i just altered some small things, made the texture cleaner, added a different face, adjusted colours and removed tc, and finally changed the environment light (gloss), and hell i love what can be done with such small alterations ;)

and Rabbit, yea thats your magician, i nifedited his cape and draw a skin for him, but that was really one of the first units J asigned me to do for the mod.. well some month ago ;)

believe me, i want to play this mod too, letting those regiments clash in worldbuilder is not enough for the long range :) but we still have to create the stats for sooo many units...

Ok I want Playtesters who aren't totally nuts with xml and don't think python is a snake. Anyone interested pm me(and tell me what your skills are). No skills no link. I need serious bugreporters! - that doesn't mean you need to be an expert but you should know how modding works in general.
 
Why not release a public beta? More people testing = more bugs/tweaks that would be discovered.

Anyways, I would volunteer, but I'm not really experienced with Python/XML.
 
I think the fundamental difference between playtesting and Public beta is the word "Public". The Public tends to not understand beta and moans, whines, complains when the game isn't perfect. Playtesting means you accept the warts and pro-actively try to improve the game.

Well the current mod seriously isn't polished enough to be released-not yet. If you would agree to give a detailed report of your gameexperience(even if you don't know xml you can probably judge what is unbalanced or not, give suggestions about unitstats and starting techs etc.) and don't stop playing just because you don't like many pink spots. I'd be happy to send you a link to the current files. Pm me if you want to go for it.

i would love too help, but i have no experience with neither Xml or snaky-thing.

anyways if you need help with anything that i could do, feel free to pm me. Could be both slaving around or playtesting..- whatever you prefer
