[BTS] Warhammer FB Version 1.5

Its unclear. PL is not going to have much time to work on this. Orlanth and I will hopefully get a lot of the design implemented, but Orlanth isn't a programmer and I know nothing about modding.
 
As Ahriman said we're in dire need atm of some experienced modding / programming help to get compatible with BtS 3.19; and would also greatly welcome anyone interested to help out in entering in new units and techs as already designed (no experience necessary for this second item as it can be accomplished by anyone with enough time and persistence by using XML Editor!) :king:

Since it's been so excruciatingly long since the last update, I'll go ahead and release this minipatch that cobbles together some minor fixes I'd worked on earlier (simply extract the attached Assets.zip into your Warhammer mod folder). If working properly, it should:

* deactivate Watchtower spamming by AI Workers, and enable infrequent Watchtower placement through some rare special events
* enable a new Apocalypse Victory condition, achievable by Chaos
* resolve the prior python exception from a Marsh event
* fix inconsistencies in resource yield from Worker forest chops
* resolve the Insane trait bug with Tilea causing excessive Great People and crashes
* fix some minor soundtrack, event, and diplomacy issues
* help out the AI by making it less likely to neglect researching Mining for long periods

I keep CTDing on turn 0 or 1. Here's my save. Maybe you can figure it out. I got no clue...

Hey there guys... nice work on the warhammer patch!! I had the chance to play the 1.3 then I updated to the new patch and now it will not start up.

I have a Toshiba laptop that has the cursing Visa windows :wallbash:

So, I download the 1.5 Warhammer patch with the 1.3 ( put it in file like so "C:/Program files/Firaxis Games/Beyond the Sword/Mods"

When I go to play Beyond the sword and lost the mod, I just get a pause as if it was up loading and then I get a Microsoft window saying "Sid Meier's Civilization4: Beyond the sword has stopped working" and option of checking online for solution and close program or close the program. below it gives me the info of the problem details

So, for some reason, even though I'm using BTS 3.17, none of the WH specific maps/scenarios work. I CTD either 1st turn or shortly after. It works on other maps (Tectonics, earth, etc.), but since those aren't designed for 30 civs, it's not really worth it.

Here's a save game. From Kinstrife I believe. Just an example, so maybe you can figure out if I'm missing something.

Really...I had the same problem when trying to use the WB map, I will try your fix. ,once i get it reinstalled that is. Stupid 3.19 patch.
 
This is an conflict with Vista and the old FFH graphics. I believe that this was fixed in later versions of FFH, so this might even be fixed automatically by our FF update.

For reference, there are only a few flames tiles, and they're all around a volcano north of the island that the high elves live on. So start the map, go into Worldbuilder and delete those, and then exit worldbuilder and play as normal.
 
I have playedsome with this mod. If you still need some unskilled help, PM me and perhaps i can lend a hand.

I just have begun to learn XML modding...

I can't seem to find any flame tiles... only lava tiles, are those the one you are reffernig to?

Btw. The mod is the funniest computer game I have ever played LOVE IT!!! Hope you will keep developing it :goodjob::goodjob:
 
Flames are a map feature (like forests or floodplains) not a tile like plains or grassland.

Also, I was talking about the Warhammer world map, I don't know what the Kinstrife map has.

the lava tiles automatically make flames so if i was you try turning the lave into desert. Kinstrife should have the same thing.

Thanks :D im really glad you're enjoying it :). we definately are still developing it and are working intensively on making it new and improved :) this will take a while though ;)
